This year's provincial government work report proposes to improve the counterpart assistance mechanism in the province, start the construction of the Guangqing Special Economic Cooperation Zone, and accelerate the construction of the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone and the Shenzhen-Shantou Industrial Co-construction Demonstration Zone. At the beginning of the year, Qingyuan formulated and announced the "Ten Action Plans" of the Municipal Party Committee, showing that Qingyuan promoted the Guangzhou-Yongzhou high-speed rail project (Guangdong section) via Qingyuan, and in 2022 strived to include the Guangqingyong high-speed rail project in the "National Medium- and Long-term Railway Network Planning for the New Era" and the "14th Five-Year Plan" National Railway Network Planning. The line starts from Guangzhou North Railway Station in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, and passes north through Qingyuan City, Yangshan County of Qingyuan City, and Sanlian District to the border of Guangdong and Xiang province. The total length of the line is about 242 km, and the design speed of the whole line is 350 km / h.
