　　As the Chinese New Year is approaching, I am pleased to attend the 3rd Guangzhou Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Social Responsibility Influence and Public Welfare Charity Ceremony. Here, on behalf of the China Charity Federation, I would like to express my warm congratulations on the convening of this grand ceremony!

　　Based in Guangzhou, looking at the Bay Area, colleagues in the philanthropic circles in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, closely focusing on the overall situation of the work of the party and the state, focusing on promoting and consolidating the effective connection between the achievements of poverty alleviation and the rural revitalization strategy, actively responding to major emergencies, and continuously increasing the intensity of charitable fundraising and charitable assistance. In particular, since the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, all sectors of society have donated more than 6 billion yuan in total, and donated funds and materials worth 2.5 billion yuan to Hubei Province, which has given strong support to the anti-epidemic work in areas with serious epidemics and even the whole country, fully demonstrating the selfless spirit of the people in the Greater Bay Area and the vigorous and upward charity force!

　　The Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and the Guangzhou Municipal Government attach great importance to charity and have successfully held the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Public Welfare Charity Ceremony for three consecutive years. In recent years, Guangzhou has closely followed the concept of "charity for the people", taken the lead in incorporating the creation of "charity city" into the overall development strategy of the city, the charity system environment is increasingly perfect, the charity platform channels are becoming more and more abundant, the charity services are accurate and pragmatic, the charity activities are rich and colorful, the sunshine charity has become a common practice, a number of caring enterprises and charity projects have won the eleventh "China Charity Award", and the city's charity index ranking continues to rank in the forefront of the country, providing valuable "Guangzhou experience" for the development of national charity.

　　2022 is the year of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and I hope that colleagues in the philanthropic circles in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the China Charity Federation will continue to open up a new situation in philanthropy in the Bay Area:

Firmly grasp the major historical opportunity of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, actively cultivate and develop modern hub-type charitable organizations, guide and encourage willing and capable enterprises and social groups to devote themselves to charity, repay the society and the country, give full play to the third distribution role of charity, and make due contributions to helping achieve common prosperity.

　　The third is to thoroughly implement the Charity Law and create a good atmosphere. Give full play to the active role of charitable organizations, actively carry out charitable activities in a more diverse form and with richer content, learn and make good use of the Charity Law, continuously enhance the awareness of governing good deeds according to law and doing good deeds according to law, continue to promote the legalization, institutionalization, and standardization of charitable undertakings, actively advocate the good trend of "charity for all", and vigorously create a charitable environment and atmosphere of sunshine rule of law and upward goodness.
