The "Xin'an Tour Group" (hereinafter referred to as "New Brigade") is a youth revolutionary group founded by Wang Dazhi, principal of Xin'an Primary School in Huai'an County, Jiangsu Province, with new primary school students as the main body. At the critical juncture when Japanese imperialism was vainly trying to destroy China, the "New Brigade" aimed at popularizing education and propagating the idea of resisting Japan and saving the country, and publicized the party's propositions in the form of movies, speeches, songs, dramas, dances, writing, paintings, etc., arousing the masses to resist Japan and save the country, and mobilizing the people to actively resist the war. The valuable experience of the "New Brigade" in Gansu has greatly sublimated their ideology and spirit, and they have truly established lofty beliefs and become strong fighting fortresses, laying a solid foundation for carrying out more comprehensive and profound anti-Japanese propaganda work in the future.
On May 20, 1946, Chairman Mao Zedong replied to the New Brigade: "Comrades of the Xin'an Tour Group: I am extremely grateful for receiving the letter! I wish you all to work hard, continue to move forward, and strive for the victory of democratic China. On May 30, 2021, after a gap of 75 years, General Secretary Xi Jinping replied to the Young Pioneers of Xin'an Primary School: "In that year, under the care and leadership of the party, the 'Xin'an Tour Group' was not afraid of hardships, and its footprints spread throughout most of China, using literature and art as a weapon to arouse the people to resist Japan and save their lives, publicize the party's ideas, and show the spirit of patriotic progress.
