Cultural collision paints "a dream of pear garden"
Walking into the Ninth Floor of the Capital Wing Garden, a carefully created art space gives people a unique sense of heaven. At the entrance, the mythical and legendary "God of True Wealth" Zhao Gongming and the Black Tiger Mount greeted the visiting guests, the copper coin pattern on the face revealed their identities, and the "one hand good card" in the black tiger's palm conveyed good wishes. Step by step in the house, there are facial elements everywhere, but it does not look old-fashioned. The American-style seats are old objects from the warehouse, and the wall painting behind the seats is inspired by the European relief "The Man Who Chases the Wind", and is integrated with the basic spectrum of the Peking Opera face "Three Tile Faces", and even the wooden picture frame on the wall is painted by the owner's own color. Eastern and Western elements meet dramatically here, and are reconciled and unified in color and display.
This pop-up space, named "Pear Garden One Dream", is a corner of the "Ideal Country" painted by Zhao Nan himself. In 2012, Master Liu Zengfu passed away, which had a great impact on Zhao Nan's psychology. Liu Zengfu is a physiologist and a titan of Peking Opera, and his research on facial features was recognized by Mei Lanfang as early as 1961, and his book "Peking Opera Face Atlas" is of precious value. "If our younger generation doesn't pass on this skill and culture, it will slowly disappear in the future, and I think this is also something that Mr. Li does not want to see." After deliberation, Zhao Nan quit his original job and opened up his own face art career.
Shouzheng innovation explores the way of inheritance
"What is inheritance? Inheritance is to keep right and innovate, and I especially agree with this sentence. In Zhao Nan's view, no matter how deep the cultural form, if you blindly stick to the rules, the circle will become smaller and smaller, and non-genetic inheritance must explore a new path that can "self-hematopoiesis"; at the same time, it is even more necessary to keep the core of traditional culture, otherwise even the best innovation will lose its meaning.
Recently, in the "Pear Garden One Dream" pop-up space in Wing Yuen, Zhao Nan has put immersive aesthetic experience activities on the agenda. "A thousand creators may have a thousand Sun Wukong in their pens, and the brushstrokes of the lines and the combination of colors reflect the personality characteristics or the emotions of the moment." In the two-hour event, she introduced the colorology in Facebook, the personality of color, and also demonstrated the skills of pen control and drawing. She combines Peking Opera culture and facial aesthetics with the needs of small team building and parent-child aesthetic education to further broaden the application scenarios of facial music.
Inspired by his friends, Zhao Nan also plans to use the spectral style of Peking Opera color sculpture as the code design logic, and integrate it with the "script killing" gameplay to better integrate traditional culture into the trend lifestyle. She uses the IP of traditional Chinese stories and old drama scripts to fuse the classic style of Peking Opera and depict the human growth volume of modern women looking for themselves.
