From 0:00 to 24:00 on January 19, Beijing added 2 new locally confirmed cases (those who were positive for nucleic acid tests reported yesterday) and 1 case of asymptomatic infected persons turned into confirmed cases (those who were positive for nucleic acid tests reported on January 18), with no new suspected cases and asymptomatic infected people; 1 new imported confirmed case and 2 asymptomatic infected people, with no new suspected cases.

Indigenous cases of COVID-19

Confirmed case 1: Currently residing in Wanliuyuan Community, Fengtai District, cold storage porter, doing nucleic acid testing once a week. He reported developing cough symptoms on 16 January, taking his own cold medicine and not seeking medical attention. On January 19, the nucleic acid test result was reported to be positive, and the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention detected the specific mutation site of the Delta variant strain, and the results of comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging tests were diagnosed as confirmed cases on the same day, and the clinical classification was mild, and it has been transferred to the designated hospital for isolation and treatment.

Confirmed case 2: Cohabited with confirmed case 1, cold storage porter, and routine nucleic acid testing once a week. He reported that he developed cough and other symptoms on January 6, took his own cold medicine and did not seek medical attention. Confirmed case 3: Currently residing in Shigezhuang Village, Pingfang Township, Chaoyang District, he came to Beijing to work in November 2021, and is an asymptomatic infected person diagnosed on 18 January. On January 19, the patient developed symptoms such as headache and sore throat, and based on the results of epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging tests, the patient was diagnosed as a confirmed case on the same day, and the clinical classification was mild, and continued to be isolated and treated in the designated hospital.

Imported confirmed cases from abroad

Confirmed case: Chinese nationality, arrived at Beijing Capital Airport from Germany on January 16, after health screening and nucleic acid testing, the customs was sent to the centralized isolation hotel through closed-loop management, and the nucleic acid test result was reported positive on January 18, and transferred to the designated hospital on the same day, comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and imaging tests, etc., diagnosed as a confirmed case on January 19, the clinical classification was mild.

Epidemiological investigations have been carried out on the above cases and control measures have been implemented as required.
