Lin Xinping (1919-1942), a native of Pingyang, Zhejiang, joined the Communist Party of China in 1936 and worked in underground transportation in Shanghai. After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he served as the confidential secretary of the Eighth Route Army's office in Shanghai. In November 1937, he went to Yan'an to study at the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University. After graduation, he successively engaged in united front work in the Yangtze River Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Jinhua Special Committee of Zhejiang Province of the CPC. In the autumn of 1939, he was appointed deputy head of the Cultural and Labor Regiment of the First Detachment of the New Fourth Army. In the winter of the same year, he went to Xinchang, Liyang County to assist in the opening of new districts. In the form of night schools, we will publicize and mobilize the masses, organize poor peasant groups, women's resistance associations, and youth resistance groups, and recruit party members and establish party branches. From March 1941, he served as the chief of the cultural and educational section of the anti-Japanese coalition government of Jintan, Liyang, Yixing, Wujin and Danyang counties. In the summer of the same year, in order to expand the anti-Japanese armed forces and disperse the enemy's forces, the party organization decided that she would concurrently serve as the head of the Guancun District of Yixing County, and be responsible for opening up the anti-Japanese armed struggle in the southeastern border area of Changxing County.
