August 7, 2020, I always remember that day.
I got up as usual to wash up, my left neck hurt for several days, I thought I was on the pillow, I didn't pay too much attention, when I looked in the mirror, I found that my neck was swollen.
So I went to the local clinic for examination, the doctor said that it was lymphatic inflammation, after hanging the water, I went home, the lump disappeared somewhat, but after a few days it became swollen again. So I went to the clinic to hang water, and the doctor said that if it was not good, he would go to the hospital to do a B ultrasound, and sure enough, after a few days, it became swollen again.
Then I went to the local hospital for examination, and ultrasound B showed multiple lymphadenopathy in the neck, and other tests were normal. After a few days in the hospital, nothing could be checked, so the doctor asked me to go to the nasopharyngeal gooscopy and check that the left side of the nasopharynx was obviously bulging.
Immediately after that, an operation was performed to remove the nasopharyngeal mass, and on August 31, the biopsy pathology came out, nasopharyngeal carcinoma IVa stage, middle and advanced stages.
From detection to diagnosis, 24 days before and after. This year, I was 16 years old, just in my sophomore year of high school.
Insufficient experience due to small local hospitals. I had to be transferred to a big hospital. After the transfer, all the examinations had to be done again, and after another 7 days of delay, I watched the lump in my neck get bigger and bigger, and my neck could no longer turn normally.
On September 7th, officially on the road to treatment, I cut off my long hair and started my first chemotherapy.

The first chemotherapy was relatively easy, and there was no obvious discomfort during the period. After the end of the home rest for 14 days, the next day back home, began to be full of bone pain, the pain is too much to lie in bed, can not get out of bed, the neck is also too painful to turn, get up, lie down need the assistance of the mother. When you want to get up at night in the middle of the night, you don't want to wake up your mother, you can only slowly move to the side of the bed, get off the ground first, kneel on the ground and slowly get up, a few simple actions, each time it takes a little half an hour. Then simply sit on the bed and sleep on the back, crying every day except crying.
A week later, I slept until midnight every night and still felt uncomfortable and in severe pain. Wake up in the morning with a pain in the tail vertebrae, and you have to walk on your waist.
When I wanted to get up, the pain was even worse, and I couldn't stand up when I wanted to. I wanted to go back to bed and lie down, but it hurt so much that I couldn't lie down, so I tried various positions and took two hours to lie down. Lying down only to find that the lights were not turned off, the collapse was in an instant!
It didn't take long for the second chemotherapy to start, and this time it started to feel uncomfortable. The next day I started vomiting and my heart was racing. Don't want to move, don't want to eat, don't want to talk, just want to sleep all the time. Sleep until the early hours of the morning at night and wake up uncomfortably and run to throw up.
After the second chemotherapy, I went home and rested for 14 days.
After returning home, I wanted to see the sea, blow the sea breeze, and relax, so I sneaked to the North Sea with my friends for a few days.
On the second night in Beihai, I leaned back on the couch and played with my phone, reached out and touched my hair, and several hairs fell out of each touch. I started to panic, was it going to lose my hair.
After my friend slept, I sat on the floor against the bed, and for 3 hours, I cried while I was making up the wig I was going to wear the next day.
Sure enough, in the days that followed, the hair fell out more and more every day. I was so scared that I didn't dare to wake up every day, afraid to see a pillow of hair, afraid to turn into a bald head.
On October 1st, it was obviously National Day, but I took medicine in the hospital for a day, and my face began to swell, my eyes were swollen, and I died ugly.
Going out to dinner at night, probably because I still have a chemotherapy pump, I get sick to the car. When I came back from eating, I started to feel uncomfortable in the car. When I got home, I quickly took the medicine and lay down, the reaction was very large, I ran to the toilet to vomit, spit and lay down, and after a while I ran to vomit, infinite cycle... At the same time, I was so sleepy that I had to fall asleep when I squatted in the toilet and supported my face.
Then two days later, after the injection, my sister took me to eat hot pot, and my happiness came back.
On October 17, the second chemotherapy was discharged from the hospital! Went to the beach again with super nice friends because I still want to see the sea hahaha! (In fact, it is sneaked out of the house, hahaha ~)
At 6 o'clock in the morning, I went to see the sunrise with my sisters, so cold and cold, I was already frozen into a slug. After washing his head at night, he subconsciously touched his head and lost his hair. Is it time to start losing your hair again?
The third chemotherapy, this time in much better shape, is not so uncomfortable. But I always feel very sleepy, I just want to sleep all the time, from day to night, all the time. Because I was alone in the hospital, I could only wait for myself to wake up after the drip, or set the alarm clock and ring the bell to ask the nurse sister to change the medicine.

33 times of radiation therapy, just get through it
At the end of the third chemotherapy, I went to do the positioning, and after waiting for 5 working days, I started 33 radiotherapy treatments.
During the 13th radiation therapy, the PICC tube (central venous catheter through peripheral venipuncture) on the hand was attached to the position where it was allergic. It is very itchy, and it is often uncomfortable to wake up in the middle of the night to scratch.
The 20th radiation therapy began to have mouth ulcers, sore throat, so painful that even the water could not be swallowed, and a psychological struggle had to be done before swallowing saliva.
The 22nd radiation therapy, the doctor told me that I was going to start the fourth chemotherapy. But because the level of white blood cells has been very low, it is useless to get a white injection, and the number of cells has risen and fallen, so until the end of radiotherapy, chemotherapy has not been possible.
On the 25th radiation treatment, the skin of the neck began to ulcerate.
When the radiation treatment was all over, I could finally go home. The doctor said that after going home, the blood would be drawn once every three or four days, and when it was stable, he would go back to the fourth chemotherapy.
January 6, 2021, today is my 17th birthday, and the fourth chemotherapy has begun, I hope that this time my hair will be saved.
On the third day of chemotherapy, after waking up in the morning with an infusion, I fell asleep again. I didn't wake up until the medicine was finished, and it was the nurse sister who saw it and gave me the medicine. This time I felt more uncomfortable, changed the medicine and went to the toilet to vomit, vomiting a lot of blood.

On January 10, I didn't fall asleep until 1:50 a.m. In fact, I am still worried that I will become bald after this chemotherapy.
I've been a girl who has been particularly fond of pretty since I was a kid. From August to now, I've been thinking that I'd rather have a hundred times more physical discomfort than lose my hair. From childhood to adulthood, my hair has always been black and straight, and I especially like the feeling of my hair lying fragrantly in the bed after washing my hair and blow drying.
It's really sad to cut my hair, oh, it was my mother who cut my hair, I didn't want others to see the ugly look of my short hair, and the cut hair was still in my room.
In fact, in the past few months of being sick, my mentality is still very good, because I don't care whether I am sick or not, and I have never felt that I am sick, and I am still alive and kicking as before. Just got up to go to the bathroom, looked in the mirror, and my hair was already covering my ears! Super happy.
Now the sense of taste is also in the recovery period, in fact, there is no sense of taste or good, a lifetime, this recovery period I do not want to recover at all, eat everything is sour and slippery strange smell.
On January 12, the tube was removed today, and finally the chemotherapy was completed!
I feel like a wild horse that has lost its reins hahahahaha, you can be discharged from the hospital tomorrow ~ happy.
Today A person went to the mall, bought a headdress with flowers, and when the hair grows long, you can wear it haha.
I fell asleep when I got back to the hospital from the mall, and when I woke up, it was already half past eleven.

Maybe I'm still young, in good shape, and recovering well after treatment. The neck was almost better, and the sense of taste was half restored. Every day is full of energy!
I've been really happy lately, my life is on the right track and back to the way it was.
These things are just a small problem at this time, and when you think about it, it is not a big deal. You should eat, drink, drink, play, be happy, and be happy, and there is no need to think about the messy little things to embarrass yourself. Happy healing life
After 5 days of discharge, the position of the previous picc was slowly getting better. I packed up my things and found that I had taken a lot of medicine in 4 months.
On February 7, I have been dizzy for the last few days, with occasional headaches and sometimes some wanting to throw up. Lying in bed all the time, I had no strength to do anything, and I didn't have the appetite to eat. When I walk around, I always feel like I have to go out of my soul hahaha.
When I went to the balcony to collect my clothes, suddenly my eyes were black, I couldn't see the road, my head kept spinning, I almost hit the wall, but I stood firm.
I got up the next morning and prepared to go to the hospital to check my blood count and liver and kidney function. I threw up when I was ready to wash up, I felt dizzy when I was examined in the hospital, and I threw up again when I waited for the test report. Then after going to the internal medicine examination, I was admitted to the hospital again.
The doctor said that there was no problem, and he had just been discharged from the hospital in poor health. Dizziness hospitalization examination is vestibular neuritis, after a few days of medication before being discharged from the hospital.
On February 21, just after the New Year, I gained 5 pounds!
The hair is getting longer and longer hahaha, you can tie a little bit.
March 22, season after season, year after year, before you know it, more than 7 months have passed. There is still half a month to go back to review it ~ I hope everything is going well, everything is fine ~

On August 25, I recovered greatly. My hair is long too!

Epstein-Barr virus, one of the causes of nasopharyngeal cancer, can also cause upper respiratory tract infections, which in turn cause rhinitis symptoms.
