They always keep the interests of the country and the people in mind, even if they have left us, they still leave the "red family training" of paying attention to character and not forgetting the original intention to future generations.
For example, Ye Shuai left his children with the family training of "walking with a straight waist and clipping his tail to be a man", requiring future generations not to ask for special treatment based on their family background; Liu Shaoqi formulated "four no-nos" for posterity; Chen Yun's family training is the two simple cores of "equality and law-abiding"; and Li Xiannian, who holds the state money bag, gives the family training of future generations even more "strange", he warns his children: If you want to do business, first break your legs!

Born in Huang'an, Hubei Province in 1909, Li Xiannian entered a private school at an early age, began to learn crafts with carpenters at the age of 12, and threw himself into the revolution at the age of 17, actively participating in the peasant movement in the local area. In the autumn of 1927, Li Xiannian, who took the initiative to defect to the Red Army, led local peasants to participate in the Ancheng Uprising, and officially joined the party in December of the same year.
In the 60 years since then, Li Xiannian, who joined the party at the age of 18, has successively experienced the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Liberation, the construction of New China, and reform and opening up, and has held important positions in both the party and the army.
Although Li Xiannian was in a high position, he was very low-key; he worked meticulously for the revolutionary cause of the mainland and the construction of new China, worked meticulously, and exercised strict restraints on his family and children.
Li Ziyang, the second daughter of the Li family, once revealed when she recalled her father that there was a father with high power, and she had not listened to rumors since she was a child, and everyone said that her father held the power of state finance in his hands and could get rich with a few businesses. Li Ziyang also had the idea of going to the sea to do business, but as soon as he mentioned it to his father, he was severely reprimanded by Li Xiannian.
The "Biography of Li Xiannian" also records that once the members of the Li family got together for dinner, and everyone talked about doing business during the banquet, Li Xiannian put down his chopsticks and stood up with a cold face, and sternly declared: If any of you want to do business, break your legs!
Since then, the matter of "doing business" has become a taboo that the Li family invariably needs to avoid.

Li Xiannian does not ask his children to become jackie chan, nor does he ask his family to become rich and noble, he only hopes that his family members can work seriously and steadily at their posts and live ordinary and plain lives. Therefore, he often taught his children and restrained his family with high standards and severity.
"Li Xiannian Style" once recorded that the Li family has its own family training, the first of which is about recuperation, Li Xiannian requires his children to be civilized and polite, such as going to other places as a guest can not require the host to drive to meet, attend public places can not wear slippers and vests.
In addition to his life style and personal cultivation, Li Xiannian also attaches great importance to cultivating his children's understanding and healthy mentality, teaching them to be content and happy, and cherish the happy life in the new era.
When his children are adults, he made family rules before his children are about to step into the workplace, warning future generations not to do things in his name, not to pretend to be "the second generation of officials and the second generation of reds", not to engage in specialization, and the most important thing is to abide by discipline and law!
Under the conscious guidance and strict education of their father, the descendants of the Li family have maintained integrity, generosity and humility, and have made their own achievements in their respective fields.
Li Xiannian is a very worried person, because of his humble birth and experienced wars and disasters, he is well aware of the suffering of the people, advocates a diligent and frugal life, the financial expenditure of the family is going to him to ask questions, and has warned his wife many times: Daily expenses are calculated according to the head, not beyond the general standard, can not be extravagant and wasteful.
He often remembered bittersweetly and used the old people's chaff to eat vegetables, hunger and frost suffering to warn future generations not to waste grain. He led by example, usually drinking porridge or eating steamed buns with curd milk for breakfast, and lunch and dinner were all meat and vegetarian, and occasionally added soup.
After getting older, Li Xiannian's physical condition is getting worse and worse, and when he was hospitalized, the doctor took the physical examination report and told him that his resistance was too poor, and it was best to eat more oranges to supplement vitamin C, which could enhance his resistance. But at that time, Li Xiannian's teeth were loose, and it was very difficult to chew oranges, and his family squeezed orange juice for him.

Li Xiannian actually loves to drink orange juice, but once he happened to meet, after his family actually used 5 oranges to squeeze out a glass of juice, he refused this practice, on the grounds that it was too wasteful.
In addition to diet, Li Xiannian's daily use is also very simple, as a state leader, his office only has a portrait of Chairman Mao, a wooden table, two old sofas, and the rest are books and materials. The most common things he used in his office were old maps and magnifying glasses, and even the pen holders were made of shrapnel from comrades in the former army.
Li Xiannian is very serious about his work, but he is very kind to the staff and subordinates around him, often taking time to chat with them and carefully write down the names of each person, until after his death, the staff mentioned him with tears in their eyes and praised him as the most approachable leader.
In the summer of 1992, Comrade Li Xiannian left us forever, and before he died, he also specially explained to his descendants not to add trouble to the country, not to apply for housing from the organization, and after his death, his old residence should be returned to the state.
