Huang Bamei, formerly known as Huang Cuiyun, was born in an ordinary peasant family in Shanghai, because she was the eighth oldest in the family and the only daughter in the family, so everyone called her "Eighth Sister". Huang Bamei grew fat and short since she was a child, very strong, and her eyebrows are very distinctive, not only thick and black, but also in the shape of "eight characters".
Huang Bamei's father was a salt merchant with all his skills. Huang Bamei has heard about it since she was a child, and she learned to practice martial arts, shoot guns, and shoot with her father, and when shooting and striking, she is 100% in the middle, and it is still a double gun.
Huang Bamei's father clashed with other salt gangs, and Huang Bamei always used two guns to turn the tide, and finally turned defeat into victory. Slowly, the name "Double Gun Female Bandit" spread among the salt merchants, and the bandits did not dare to provoke her easily.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Huang Bamei at first hid from the Japanese army like ordinary people, but after seeing the Japanese army's burning and looting behavior, she was indignant, so she organized an anti-Japanese guerrilla group of more than 3,000 people.
After that, Huang Bamei took this team composed of mostly women, specially picking out the single devils to fight, and could fight more than a dozen a day, and run after the fight. Huang Bamei also destroyed more than 30 Japanese strongholds in one year, captured 5 Japanese officers alive, and even blew up a huge Japanese warship in one go.
For a time, this mysterious "two-gun female bandit" became a "ghost" in the eyes of Japanese devils, they hated and feared, as long as they heard that Huang Bamei might appear somewhere, they would take a detour and run.
After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the troops led by Huang Bamei were reorganized into the Pinghu County Security Corps. Huang Bamei was elected as a local gentry as a senator of Pinghu County to participate in the local revival and reconstruction work. She funded the creation of two primary schools for the benefit of her hometown.
In the autumn of 1946, she founded the Second Complete Primary School of Zhapu Town at the Marshal Temple of the Five Capitals of Zhapu. The following year, she built 26 new school buildings in the western foothills of Tangshan, and in 1948 she founded the private Haifeng Junior High School.
After liberation, Huang Bamei moved to Taiwan with the army, and on May 4, 1982, the "double gunner died of illness in Taiwan."
