It is reported that Honda introduced in a statement that SES plans to list on the New York Stock Exchange through a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) transaction, and Honda plans to purchase about 2% of the shares of its listed company SES AI Corporation.

Founded in 2012, SES is a company focused on the research and development of batteries for electric vehicles. In November last year, SES released the ApolloTM lithium metal battery, which has a capacity of 107Ah. In addition, SES also announced that it is building a new gigafactory in Jiading, Shanghai, with a total area of 30,000 square meters, which is scheduled to be completed in 2023. Currently, in addition to Honda, SES also cooperates with General Motors and Hyundai Motors.
