When Chinese the People's Liberation Army was awarded the title in 1955, two of them were founding generals from Shaolin: General Xu Shiyou and Lieutenant General Qian Jun. Interestingly, the two generals have a deep relationship. When Xu Shiyou was the commander of the Shandong Military Region, Qian Jun was Xu Shiyou's subordinate, and Qian Jun was the commander of the Jiaodong Military Region at that time. The two generals also worked together in the Nanjing Military Region, when Xu Shiyou was the commander of the Nanjing Military Region and Qian Jun was the deputy commander of the Nanjing Military Region.

A few years later, Xu Shiyou left the Shaolin Temple and embarked on the road of revolution.
Once, during a meeting and rest at night, his comrades-in-arms asked him to "show his hand," saying that he could not find him when he hid it. When everyone returned to the conference room, under the bright lights, searching the empty conference room on all four walls and could not find him, he "hey hey" under the conference table and smiled, and everyone found that he was clinging to the back of the table and hiding in the "belly of the table".
One year, when a Soviet military delegation visited Nanjing, a Soviet officer lifted a drum-shaped stone pier, and other officers praised him as a "Hercules." At the instigation of his colleagues, Xu Shiyou took off his shirt on a whim, raised the stone lion around the field 3 times with both hands, won thunderous applause, and then steadily placed the stone lion on the original stone seat. The Soviet army's "Hercules" could not get over the face, and also went to lift the stone lion, but unfortunately, with all his strength, the lion did not move.
Qian Jun's family was poor at an early age, and he was forced to herd cattle for landlords at the age of 6, and at the age of 8, he left home to go to XuanhuaDian in Lishan County, Hubei Province (now part of Dawu, Hubei) to earn a living and learn art with a lacquer craftsman. At the age of 13, he entered the Shaolin Temple to study martial arts.

General Qian Jun later told a friend about an interesting story: the day after entering the Shaolin Temple, the monk on duty ordered him to burn the fire. A wooden stake is erected in front of the stove, about the thickness of the bowl. The general asked, "Where is the wood-splitting knife?" The monk on duty raised his hand and said, "This is the sword." The general was astonished. The monk on duty twisted the stakes with his hands, twisting one piece at a time, tearing one piece at a time, such as twisting dough, like tearing cotton wool. In an instant, the stakes turned into fragments. Since then, the general has been practicing martial arts.
Qian Jun lived in the Shaolin Temple for 5 years and practiced martial arts, especially known as the "Iron Palm". His "cinnabar palm" was like a sharp axe cast in steel. A large rock, slapped down, immediately shattered. As for splitting green bricks, it's almost like cutting tofu, not to mention.

At the door of the East Squatter's House in front of the Abbot's Hall of the Shaolin Temple, a 120-kilogram iron cloud row has been hanging high. Whenever the monks of the whole monastery gathered to do Buddhist deeds or concentrate on preaching, the deacon monks would ring the cloud row notice. Qian Jun once used this cloud row to practice arm strength, and practiced without making a sound as a standard. After practicing like this every day for several years, Qian Jun finally practiced to be able to take it off with one hand, and his face did not change color and gasp as usual. Today, this cloud row is still hanging high in place, and every day it makes a sound that resounds through the clouds.
In 1933, when Qian Jun was serving as a pistol captain in the Hubei, Henan, and Anhui Special Committees, he fought a special battle to eliminate the landlords' armed "Red Gun Society." On that day, when he led the pistol team to attack the "Red Gun Society" thieves' den, a group of bandits were chanting around the houses of local tycoons and inferior gentry. When they heard the movement, they found that the gate had been blocked, and fifty or sixty outlaws flocked up the wall, hoping to break through and escape for their lives, taking advantage of the darkness of the night, hiding in the pond outside the wall, Qian Jun, jumped on the wall as soon as he plunged. The bandits climbed up the wall, the money stretched out their iron palms, and the eagle and chicken forked one and fell out. He fell to more than a dozen bandits in a row, some of whom fell to their deaths on the spot, and some of whom fell into the pond and struggled to help. With the cooperation of all the pistol crews, the combat mission was completed in less than an hour.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Qian Jun also occasionally performed "cinnabar palm". That was after he became the deputy commander of the Nanjing Military Region, and once he went to northern Jiangsu to inspect the militia work. During the evening break, the cadres asked him to perform "splitting stones". But northern Jiangsu is a horse Pingchuan, where to find the right stone for a while? Finally, I found a bluestone for pressing pickles, and this stone was at least twenty pounds, slippery and wet, and placed on the table in the middle of the hall. "Can Commander Qian really split it?" "Meat hands can chop rocks, and I've never seen them!" Wang Xuan, the former secretary of the Party Office of the Nanjing Military Region, personally interviewed General Qian Jun and asked Qian Jun about a very popular saying at that time -- at that time, people said that when Xu Shiyou went down the mountain, the division brothers set up 18 martial arts formations, and Xu Shiyou successfully broke through the pass and went all the way down the mountain gate.
General Qian Jun insisted that there was indeed such a thing, saying that Xu Shiyou had indeed beaten the mountain gate, and that "I was poor in martial arts, so I had to slip away from the back mountain trail and join the Red Army." ”
Qian Jun also said: "Commander Xu is a monk, I am a miscellaneous servant, doing miscellaneous work, and I do not have much time to learn kung fu." ”
General Xu Shiyou and General Qian Jun, because they are both from the Shaolin Temple, have similar personalities, so they have a strong feeling. In his later years, General Xu Shiyou often went to visit Qian Jun, and both of them had their ears behind their backs and talked with their throats.
