On the morning of January 19, the 2021 annual achievement exhibition of the "Sunshine Aesthetic Education Plan" hosted by the Suzhou Public Cultural Center (Suzhou Art Museum), the Suzhou Industrial Park Fraternity School, the Suzhou Disabled Persons' Activity Center, and the Suzhou Association of Mentally Disabled Persons and Relatives and Friends made a wonderful appearance at the Suzhou Art Museum.

According to Fu Chunzhi, a young curator and the management department of the Art Museum of Suzhou Public Cultural Center, the "Suzhou Art Museum 'Sunshine Aesthetic Education Program' 2021 Annual Achievement Exhibition" is the second summary exhibition of the annual "Sunshine Aesthetic Education Program" project content and project significance since the "Suzhou Art Museum Sunshine Aesthetic Education Program Exhibition" in 2019.
This exhibition brings to the audience 121 works by participants in the five projects of the whole year in 2021, visually showing the unpolished and original spiritual artistic creations of the disabled. Most of these works are eclectic and intense, and they are full of the creator's small perception and understanding of life in detail, and the artistic potential and self-spirit revealed in them make the viewer clear at a glance.

The famous Renaissance painter, scientist and inventor Leonardo da Vinci once said, "Art is a state of mind." "Artistic creation contains strong personal emotions and strength, subtly influencing people's cognition, body and psychology. In 1969, the Art Therapy Association (AATA) was established in the United States, officially combining art and disease treatment, and "art therapy" has been widely used in the treatment of various physical and psychological disorders.
On the basis of a complete display of the implementation process of the "Sunshine Aesthetic Education Plan" project in 2021, the exhibition also presents to the audience the exploration of "art therapy" by suzhou art museum - with spatial thinking, three-dimensional concept training, color perception, figurative copying ability training and other aspects of aesthetic education projects, step by step to improve the functional disabilities' appreciation and perception of art, improve their character, enhance their self-confidence, so that their body and mind can be effectively compensated to evoke a beautiful yearning for life.
To promote limb dysfunction, intellectual dysfunction, extensive developmental disorders, mental disorders and other diseases of vulnerable groups to better integrate into society, service to society, not only need the care and support of all sectors of society, but also need the functional disabilities themselves to pay and work, Suzhou Art Museum hopes to use this exhibition to let the public see the results of such a group of "winged angels" efforts, and have a new understanding of the functional disorders around them.
