On January 11, 2022, Wang Qing, director of the Science and Technology Bureau of Wulanchabu City, went to the Mengtian (Fuhe) base for investigation and inspection, accompanied by Lan Yunfeng, researcher of the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and Zhou Ningcong, extension researcher of the Animal Husbandry Workstation of the Municipal Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau.
Accompanied by the person in charge of the company, Director Wang Qing inspected the breeding sheep house, the breeding house and the forage TMR processing workshop in turn, and made detailed exchanges with the person in charge of the company on the scale of the base, the differentiated characteristics of dairy sheep, the industrial radiation drive and other related situations.
During the visit, Director Wang Qing encouraged enterprises to develop steadily, integrate and use the power of science and technology to promote enterprise operations, give play to the leading role of enterprises, and transform their advantages into a driving force for development.
As the first agricultural and animal husbandry science and technology enterprise involved in the dairy sheep industry in China, Mengtian has introduced New Zealand Dai rui milk sheep (an upgraded breed of Dongfrisheng) since 2016, and through hybrid improvement with local cold sheep, cultivated new breeds of sheep with milk and meat, formed a good industrial drive in Ulanqab area, and opened up a new path for the revitalization and development of regional rural areas.
