After the invasion of China, this army failed, but when it returned to China, it accidentally lost its way, and now it is a part of China

Although the Qing Dynasty is mentioned now, it is thought of its corruption and cowardice, but in the early days it was still very strong, most of our current territory was laid down at that time, but because of the inconvenience of transportation at that time, communication was even more backward, so for distant places, the Qing government's control was not so effective, for example, the distance between Tibet and the capital at that time can be said to be very far away. This place was also remembered by the surrounding small countries, such as the NepalEse Empire at that time.

At that time, it repeatedly provoked on the border of Tibet, and later formed the Gurkha Army, and with this army continued to harass Tibet, and burned many monasteries and occupied many areas. At that time, neither the Panchen Lama nor the Dalai Lama in Tibet could resist, so they asked the then emperor Qianlong for support. Because Tibet was too far from the capital, qianlong knew that this matter had been over for many months, and he was naturally very angry when he saw this incident, so he immediately sent Fu Heng's son Fu Kang'an to Tibet to deal with this war. Because it was a plateau, it was difficult to control with more people, so he only led 10,000 elite soldiers with relatively good physical fitness, and it was this 10,000 people who destroyed the entire Gurkha army, and finally the Kingdom of Nepal also signed a contract with the Qing Dynasty to ensure that Tibet would not be disturbed again, and also had to pay taxes to the Qing government.

Thus the unrest subsided, but another problem remained, namely that one of the units of the Gurkha Army was forced to stay in this place because it had lost its way while retreating, and they did not return to their country after the end of the war. They wanted to go back, but the Kingdom of Nepal seemed to give them up, and eventually they could only wander around the border between the two countries, and stayed for 200 years.

After the end of World War II, a nationwide upsurge of national independence was set off, and the descendants of the Gurkha army, who remained in Tibet at the time, also ushered in an opportunity. During these 200 years, they have mixed with the local Tibetans, but they are still stateless, and are called Daman by the locals, which means cavalry. It was not until 2003 that the central authorities recognized the descendants of Gurkha soldiers who were stranded on our Tibetan border and allowed them to have Chinese nationality, and they finally had their own motherland.

In fact, in appearance, they have no difference from the local Tibetans, only a pair of blue eyes indicate that they were once foreigners, and now they mainly live in the Jilong area, and the government has also carried out a series of assistance for them, built cement buildings, water and electricity, and there are certain subsidies.
