It seems that the disadvantages far outweigh the advantages, first of all, when the door is closed, the window glass cannot be directly collided with the sealing strip, so after opening the door, the window will be slightly lowered, this setting will be some trouble in the special use scenario; secondly, when the temperature is too low, there will be a problem of icing, if the sealing strip and the glass are glued, the strong pull of the door may damage the sealing strip or the window glass, even if there is no damage, it will accelerate the aging of the sealing strip, and it will be easy to leak or leak.
Frameless doors are not an ideal design, at least not suitable for vehicles parked in the open air, whether it looks good or not is also a matter of opinion; in fact, this high-end sedan does not have a few designs with frameless doors. However, the safety problem does not have to worry, the door frame itself does not play a collision protection structure, not that the door frame is safer; this kind of collision protection structure is A/B column, so the rational interpretation of this car can not say that its frameless door will affect the collision safety. However, Volkswagen's Passat, Maiten, Tiguan L, Skoda Kodiak, the four cars that have undergone a 25% bias crash test, have performed extremely poorly, and the difference in the results of Passat's two tests is not convincing, so the lower positioning of Lingdu, this standard and Jetta Sagittarius car, the level is obviously not high.

The price of the new Lingdu is still uncertain, but the starting price of the old Lingdu has reached 149,900, the high-end is 186,900, and other brands of cars in the same price range, which one uses this transmission? It seems that even if there are, they are just some bad joint venture cars.
However, Lingdu is not only the transmission, the new Lingdu also uses the old Lingdu's 230, 280TSI 1.4T engine, the power reserve is only 96kw/225N·m, and 110kw/250N·m (1750~ 3000rpm); this level is very general, driving golf or Lingdu is barely breaking through the level of 10 seconds.
In summary, the new Lingdu is only the shell of the old Lingdu, but this shell looks not bad; the level of the engine is very general, the size of the new car has increased to 4784 * 1831 * 1469, wheelbase 2731mm, the curb quality will be much larger, the acceleration performance may be worse, if a car that uses frameless door design and the main sport has only this level, it will be very embarrassing to choose.
It can be said that the Civic or Fiesta and other cars have performance advantages compared to it, if you use MG6, UNI-V or Shadow Leopard to compare it, the selling point of the new Lingdu seems to be only "high-end car logo"; but in recent years, the joint venture car is rapidly sinking to the three- and four-level market, once seemingly high-end joint venture foreign cars, now the personnel are basically "the hope of the whole village", the brand trend to the national tide as the core, the primary and secondary market has begun to change.
