Tesla's first external large charging pile was installed and equipped with a large charging gun

Recently, overseas media exposed a set of latest photos of Tesla's juggle charger, which was taken at the food company Frito-Lay's factory in Modesto, California, USA, after the charging pile has been in the state of installation and construction, and now it has finally revealed its true face. The new charging facility will reach a maximum power of 1 MW (megawatts) and is expected to be used for charging Tesla's pure electric truck Semi.

Tesla has already installed the type of charging station at the Nevada Gigafactory, and the One at the Fidoli plant is also about to open, which could get the world's first Semi later this year.

According to the latest report, this large supercharger is about 2.1 to 2.4 meters high, and the most eye-catching thing is the huge charging interface, which does not seem to match the charging port used by other passenger cars in the Tesla North American market. In addition, according to foreign media observations, the cable of this large super charging pile will use liquid cooling technology.

We don't yet know what the voltage of Tesla's large supercharger is, which is expected to reach at least 1000V. However, the large battery packs of commercial trucks like Semi do require a higher charging power output, and if the model is equipped with a 1000kWh battery, it will take about 1 hour to charge from 0% to 100% at 1MW.

Previously, PepsiCo group in the United States had ordered 15 Tesla Semi models, and Fidoli happened to be a sub-brand of the group, and with the installation of large charging piles in the factory, perhaps the delivery of new cars was just around the corner.
