Excluding electric motorcycles, production of fuel-powered motorcycles increased by 15.52% y/y to 16.2363 million units, and sales increased by 15.21% y/y to 16.252 million units.

The top ten companies sold a total of 9.8684 million vehicles, accounting for 60.72%. Ranked 6-10 were Yinxiang, Wuyang-Honda, Luoyang North, Guangzhou Dayun and Guangdong Daye, with 814,600 units sold, 799,500 units, 716,300 units, 539,400 units and 508,600 units sold, respectively.

New Honda jumped to fifth place with 895,800 units sold, up three places. It was established in 2001 by New Continent, Japan's Honda Giken Industry Co., Ltd. and Honda Giken Industry (China) Investment Co., Ltd., with two production bases in Taicang and Tianjin, with an annual production capacity of 900,000 vehicles and engines.

After Geely took over, the company gradually came out of the "darkest hour", last year's cumulative output of new energy vehicles was 3938 vehicles, and sales were 3810 vehicles, an increase of 271.86% and 258.42% respectively year-on-year. The net profit in the first three quarters was 49.6361 million yuan, an increase of 101.44% year-on-year, achieving a turnaround.

New energy vehicles have improved, but the motorcycle business is the main source of Lifan's operating income, accounting for more than 90% (total revenue of 1.74 billion yuan in the first half of 2021, motorcycle business of 1.62 billion yuan). In the future, the company will increase product research and development innovation, do fine medium and large displacement products, and accelerate the use of EFI technology.

Zongshen ranked third, with sales of 988,300 units. According to public information, this company was founded in the 1980s, deeply cultivated the motorcycle industry for 40 years, with a total of 20 million users worldwide, and its products covered dozens of varieties of eight series such as MO (pedal series), P (street running series), T (scooter) and so on.

In addition, Zongshen also owns brands such as Secolon, Senlan, Zongshen Piaggio and so on. Six years ago, the high-end sub-brand Seclon brand was officially launched, and a total of eight models including the holiday, rally, retro, pedal, cruise and street sports car series were sold worldwide.

Loncin jumped to second place, selling a total of 1.2886 million units last year. It is worth mentioning that it is also the champion of Chinese motorcycle exports, maintaining the first place in the industry for many years. Four years ago, they launched their own high-end brand "VOGE Wuji", which was sought after by consumers. During last year's Motorcycle Expo, the 350AC and 350T scooters made their first public appearance, and the 250RR and 525R models were officially released, further enriching the product line.

Affected by the sales growth of the "Wuji" series of large-displacement motorcycles and the growth of exports, in the first three quarters of last year, Loncin GM achieved operating income of 9.335 billion yuan and net profit of 711 million yuan, an increase of 30.62% and 44.19% respectively year-on-year.

According to the 2021 "China's 500 Most Valuable Brands" released by the World Brand Lab, Haojue has ranked first in the industry for 18 consecutive years, with a brand value of 65.295 billion yuan.
