In 1649, Emperor Taiji died in shengjing (Shenyang), the kingdom of the time. As soon as Emperor Taiji died, the Qing Dynasty entered a brief period of turmoil. Since Emperor Taiji did not elect a successor to the throne when he was alive, after he died, who would be the successor became a big problem. At this time, the most contentious for the throne was the prince Dolgun and the little prince Hauge. In 1909, Puyi, who was just three years old, took over the position of the guangxu emperor who died, and became the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty.
