At the just-opened Tokyo Motor Salon, Lexus unveiled two new off-road concept cars, one of which is a plug-in hybrid off-road vehicle based on the current Lexus NX 450+ and the other is a hydrogen-burning ROV recreational off-road concept. Both new cars feature a new "iron oxide" livery and come with a new off-road kit.
In terms of appearance, the front and rear shape of the Lexus NX are basically the same as those of the current model, the new car has raised the chassis, equipped with new large-size off-road tires, and the roof part is also equipped with a large metal luggage rack that can load a lot of luggage. The ROV recreational off-road concept car design is very novel, and the front side is equipped with barb-shaped daytime running lights. The new car features a two-door, two-seat layout with independent front and rear suspension and four large-sized wheels, with a reinforced structure on the outside that highlights the off-road performance of the new car. At the same time, the new car is also equipped with hook-shaped taillights that echo the headlights, and the lower part is equipped with a central exhaust.
Power part, the official has not yet revealed the power details of the Lexus NX off-road vehicle, with reference to the current model, the new car is equipped with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine + electric motor composed of a plug-in hybrid system, the maximum power of the system is 222kW, and the pure electric mileage is 60 kilometers. The ROV recreational off-road vehicle is equipped with a 1.0-liter internal combustion engine that burns hydrogen energy, which truly achieves zero emissions.
