As a major event in China's software industry, the 19th China International Software Cooperation Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "Soft Fair") was recently held at the Chengdu Century City International Convention Center. As a highland and gathering area for the development of the software industry in Chengdu, Chengdu High-tech Zone signed a contract on the same day to settle in five projects, including the innovation business headquarters of Beijing Huafang Group, the AsiaInfo 5G Security Collaborative Innovation Center, and the second headquarters base of Nanjing Yunxinda, with a total investment of 2.8 billion yuan.

The conference also released the "Third Batch of Chengdu Software Talent List", Sichuan Province Software and Information Technology Service Industry Comprehensive Competitiveness Ranking TOP30 (2021) and 100 "Chengdu Software Industry Demand List", and issued a letter of appointment for Chengdu "Rongbei" software talents in 2021. According to reports, a total of 381 people in Chengdu High-tech Zone have been listed on the list of software talents, including 3 "Rongbei" software talent technology leaders, 52 "Rongbei" software talent senior engineers, and 326 software senior engineers.

As the first batch of software industry bases in China and the first "China's software city" in the west - Chengdu's industrial core agglomeration area, from January to November 2021, the software and information technology service industry in Chengdu High-tech Zone achieved operating income of 205.64 billion yuan, an increase of 46.9% year-on-year; software business revenue was 130.03 billion yuan, an increase of 28.8% year-on-year, of which 434 enterprises above designated size achieved operating income of 114.58 billion yuan.

Up to now, Chengdu High-tech Zone has gathered 13 of the world's top 100 software enterprises, 35 of China's top 100 software business revenue enterprises, 20 of China's top 100 Internet enterprises, and more than 167,000 software employees. In 2020, it ranked 7th among the 44 National Torch Program software industry bases.

The relevant person in charge of Chengdu High-tech Zone said that the next step will be in accordance with the national 14th Five-Year Plan "software and information technology service industry development plan key development tasks, seize strategic opportunities, to strive to create China's software park as the traction, continue to expand and strengthen the advantages of the field, actively explore emerging development areas, fully promote the software industry to upgrade, to create a global influence and national demonstration of the software and information technology service industry development highland.
