During the Qing Dynasty, China went through a process from prosperity to gradual weakening. The most prosperous period of the Qing Dynasty was the prosperous kangqian, during which the economy of the Qing government developed rapidly, which was the peak of the development of the Qing Dynasty. At that time, our country had a vast territory and a large population.

During the Kangqian dynasty, the territory of the Qing Dynasty was expanded many times. After Qianlong pacified Xinjiang, the territory of the entire Qing Dynasty was expanded unprecedentedly, forming a multi-ethnic state with unprecedented "great unification." Domestic unity demonstrated the Qing government's strong military might. During this period, the treasury had sufficient financial reserves, with the highest fiscal reserves reaching 80 million taels in the year. Commercial trade is also very prosperous, and various commodities are marketed at home and abroad.
Because of its strength, many small neighboring countries sent emissaries to study, and they all rushed to see the Qianlong Emperor. At that time, Nepal had a grudge against the Qing Dynasty and wanted to annex Tibet. In 1788, a tribe from Nepal invaded Tibet twice, intending to loot wealth in temples scattered throughout Tibet. When Qianlong learned of the situation in Tibet, he immediately sent general Fukang'an at the time to attack the Nepalese army. The Qing army took advantage of its weapons and equipment to defeat the Nepalese army. The king of Nepal had to withdraw his troops and fled with his army in a hurry.
But what was unexpected was that at the time of retreat. The king of Nepal left many of the soldiers in his army and ran away on his own. The remaining Gurkhas, because of the complex geographical location of the local area, they do not know the road, and they can only wander in the border areas of China and Nepal and live without identity. It was not until later that China learned of their situation and was willing to let them join, so this group of Gurkhas has now become Chinese.
