In 1983, at a time when Commodore 64, Amiga and Atari ST dominated the game market, two British entrepreneurs founded game development studio Ocean Software. They first launched a copycat version based on successful works such as "Missile Command" and "Frogger" on the market, and then developed a video game of the same name based on popular movies on the market such as "Big Magic Domain", "First Blood", "Jurassic Park" and so on. Over the next 15 years, Ocean released nearly 200 film adaptations, indie, and arcade games.
In 1996, the success of Ocean Software caught the attention of Infinites. Subsequently, Infinite acquired Ocean Studios and changed its name to Infinites UK, which was equivalent to abandoning the original name. From 2001 to 2008, Infogrames acquired the Atari brand and eventually changed the company's name to Atari.

This year, Atari Europe filed a trademark registration application with the European Union Intellectual Property Office under the name Ocean, and its product will be "computer game entertainment software". In addition, the business covered by the trademark also includes consoles, gamepads, game headsets and various virtual game products, such as weapons, currency and skins. There are also live streaming, subscription services, game software rentals and online game services.
Although the scope is wide, the likelihood that Atari will make all these products is low. For now, Atari must have wanted to do something under The Ocean's name. For follow-up messages, we will also continue to pay attention.
