In the past two years, LEGO has been fascinated by nostalgic tributes, and after the launch of the NES brick set, it is reported that in order to welcome the 50th anniversary of Atari, it will launch the Atari 2600 brick set, the specific release date may be in August.
While it's unclear how many parts will be in the new set and whether it will contain any mini-dolls, it should be about the size of the original Atari 2600 and offer a "playable" version of Pitfall.
Lego had previously included a playable scene from Super Mario for the NES brick set, and this impressive engineering feat was based on an all-mechanical structure. Given this, LEGO will most likely have adopted the same design for the Atari brick set, allowing us to grab vines across the crocodile pit in Pitfall's classic jungle scene.
