Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang is the only person in Chinese history who has been made emperor by a real beggar, and it is estimated that he is the only person in the history of the world, and his life can be said to be a classic model of grassroots counterattack, but at the same time he is also the person who suffers the most misfortune and suffering. He was born in 1328, when China was in a period of political corruption and intense oppression of the people at the bottom. Zhu Yuanzhang was a peasant in his ancestors, and in this generation, he could hardly even do it.

His parents did not have their own land, and could only rely on working for the landlord Liu De for a living. His family had several brothers, and his original name was Zhu Zhongba, which means that he was the eighth oldest in the clan. However, the harsh living environment made his life more difficult with many brothers, but his mother was full of hope for him and often said to him:
"The empress dowager (Zhu Yuanzhang's mother) said of Renzu (Zhu Yuanzhang's father): 'People say that my family should be born a good person. Now all the sons have fallen, and they will not rule the estate', referring to Zhu Yue: 'Is this the case?' ’”
However, it is estimated that Zhu Yuanzhang did not feel anything about this at that time, and at most he felt that he would be a little better than the fate of ordinary people. But before he could feel the benefits of his own fate, he immediately felt the merciless blow of fate on him. When he was less than 16 years old, he died due to the plague in his hometown, and he could not find a piece of land to bury his parents, but fortunately, a kind person gave him a piece of land to bury his parents hastily.
Zhu Yuanzhang, who has no land and no property, and his brother "Brother hurts for me, I cry for my brother, the emperor day, cry and break my heart!" In desperation, his brother went to be a door-to-door son-in-law, and he chose to enter the Huangjue Temple as a monk. At that time, the monks had very great power, and even some could enter and leave the empress's palace at will, and Zhu Yuanzhang hoped that as a monk, he could eat a full bowl of rice, but soon after coming, he probably regretted his idea.
It is said that once when cleaning a Buddha statue, Zhu Yuanzhang held a stomach full of bird breath, wrote three thousand miles behind the Buddha statue, and then took a broom to beat the Buddha statue - although the Buddha statue did not hurt, the resentment in his heart was dissolved a lot.
Zhu Yuanzhang's days as a monk must have been very disliked, and he later made an emperor comment: "National sloths, folk moths, hungry ghosts in color, and rich Luosha." "But when the monk can still eat something, but in a few months, the monk can't be." Because the world was in chaos and the food was in short supply, the temple drove out those monks of low status to "change their fate", in fact, they were beggars, and Zhu Yuanzhang, who had no relationship, was of course also among the "transformation of fate".
At this time, Zhu Yuanzhang was only about 17 years old, and he had no ability to survive and had no relationship, and he was about to face a bleak life again, and he later described his mood at that time as "Living in the past two months, the temple owner sealed the warehouse, everyone was planning, and the clouds and water were fluttering." What I do, I have nothing to do. Humiliated by himself, looking up at the sky. To be precise, the 17-year-old teenager is still a half-grown child, and at this time, Zhu Yuanzhang, who is lonely and bitter:
"The soul is leisurely and looks for the parents without existence, and the ambition is depressed and pretending." The west wind is cranes, and the Russians are pouring and flying frost. The body is like a puff chasing the wind, and the heart is boiling soup."
However, this also deepened his hatred for the monks, who were not without food in the temple, but the abbots who were reluctant to give him food to such a statusless "little monk", nominally letting them go, but in fact driving them out and leaving them to fend for themselves.
Zhu Yuanzhang, who had been begging all the way, was even on the verge of starvation at one point, walking to a place called Yuchai Village, he had not eaten anything for several days, and was about to starve to death on the road, at this time he saw a persimmon tree on the edge of the village, which was full of bright red persimmons, and the hungry and crazy Zhu Yuanzhang tried his last bit of strength to climb the persimmon tree to pick persimmons to eat, and ate a dozen in a row, and finally survived.
At the age of 25, Zhu Yuanzhang joined the rebel army under the introduction of his fellow villagers, and since then Zhu Yuanzhang's life has come out of the trough, starting from a soldier, to a squad leader with more than a dozen people, to a small leader with hundreds of people, to starting a self-pulling team, and finally establishing the Ming Dynasty and becoming an emperor.
At this time, Zhu Yuanzhang, remembering the past events, could not help but sigh, he specially thanked those who had helped him, and even his fellow villagers were named hou because they gave him a piece of land to bury their parents. The persimmon tree that saved him from the brink of starvation was also "crowned as the Marquis of Ling Frost!" Although it is only a form, it also reflects his character of revenge.
So he went to the temple and went to meet the monks who had been there. When ordinary people enter the temple, they must kowtow to the Buddha statue. However, this Buddha statue that made Zhu Yuanzhang suffer so much and even became a beggar was definitely not able to get Zhu Yuanzhang's prostration, not to mention that he was already a son of heaven at that time, how could there be a reason for the Chinese tianzi to kowtow to the Buddha statue? However, he did not say it himself, preparing to find trouble for the monks.
Seeing the host who had come to greet him, Zhu Yuanzhang asked lightly, "Yuan, do you want to kneel?" ”
The old abbot was also an old man, and he probably had seen or heard of zhu Yuanzhang's deeds as a young monk before, how could he not know in his heart that Zhu Yuanzhang had a belly of bird qi for this Buddha statue, and even more so for these monks, and although Zhu Yuanzhang had been a monk for several months, he did not believe in ghosts and gods at all. At this time, if he still put up a score and said that you should kneel and worship the Buddha, it is estimated that he can be pulled out by Zhu Yuanzhang to be peeled alive.
So he came with 8 words: "True Buddhas don't have to worship the Mud Buddha." Even if he bowed to Zhu Yuanzhang, Zhu Yuanzhang did not hold them accountable, and the abbot escaped the disaster.
