In the IVF fertility process, embryo transfer is a very important part, and after the transfer, most of them are mainly based on home recuperation, during which many expectant mothers are overwhelmed and full of question marks.
Below, I would like to introduce you to the precautions after embryo transfer
01. About rest and bed rest
After transplantation, urination and bed rest are generally required for observation for 1 to 2 hours. Many expectant mothers who have just completed the transplant are highly nervous, worried that the transferred embryos will be excreted from the uterine cavity, and often choose to stay in bed for 3 days or more after the transfer. As early as 1988, there were studies that pointed out that after transplantation, there was no obvious difference in the implantation rate of the two positions of upright and lying embryos. The results of a 1993 study showed that there was no significant difference in pregnancy and miscarriage rates between 24 hours of bed rest and 1 hour of bed rest after transplantation. Long-term bed rest will not only cause back pain and increase the burden on the heart, but also affect blood circulation, reduce gastrointestinal peristalsis, and also increase the incidence of urinary tract infections, constipation, and thrombosis.
02. About the diet after transplantation
Can appropriately increase high-protein, easy-to-digest food, such as fish, beef, beans, eggs, milk, vegetables, fruits, etc., should not eat lamb, cinnamon balls, mango, durian and other easy to fire food, should be prohibited spicy, greasy food, to prevent constipation and diarrhea.
03. Post-transplant activities
After transplantation, it can be appropriately moved, slow walking, walking, etc. are healthy and safe, but absolute bed rest and strenuous activities should be avoided, and it is not advisable to lift heavy objects, climb stairs, sit in baths, and share rooms.
04. About bleeding after transplantation
After transplantation, a small amount of bloody secretions from the vagina in the early stage may be produced after the transplant tube touches the erosion surface of the cervix or the cervical mucosa is stimulated, and generally returns to normal in about 3 days. In addition, some expectant mother embryos will also have a small amount of bleeding symptoms after implantation, and for bleeding after pregnancy has been confirmed, further examination is required to exclude biochemistry, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy and other conditions. When there is a small amount of bleeding after embryo transfer, there is no need to be too nervous, you should relax your mind, consult a doctor in time, and do not stop the drug and give up.
05. Pregnancy time measurement after transplantation
I believe that after transplantation, expectant mothers will buy their own early pregnancy test strips, repeatedly test whether the transplantation is successful, and the mood of seeking pregnancy is understandable, but the quality of the current pregnancy test strips is uneven, and false positives and false negatives often appear, and it is easy to cause psychological burdens for test strips too early, and high mental tension will also cause implantation failure and miscarriage. It is recommended to scientifically measure pregnancy, monitor the blood hCG value two weeks after transplantation, and if it rises rapidly and exponentially, it can be initially considered pregnant.
06. About post-transplant symptoms
Most people do not feel pregnant when the embryo implants, and a few will have symptoms such as vaginal bleeding, mild abdominal pain or low back pain, so it is impossible to judge pregnancy by the symptoms after the transfer in the early stages.
07. Medication after transplantation
After transplantation, conventional supplementation of folic acid, multivitamins and other drugs, as well as didrogestrol, progesterone and other luteal support drugs, some patients will also use tonic, fenmoton, aspirin, heparin and so on. Before changing the dosage or type of drug, it is necessary to consult a doctor and implement an individual medication regimen according to the situation.
