The story tells of a winter that took place in the late 50s. Vivian took her 6-year-old daughter to a quiet and isolated French town. Then a chocolate shop with a unique flavor was opened here, and the mayor and priest used various methods to prevent the residents from visiting Vivian's shop and try to drive her out of the town forever. But Vian used her wisdom and enthusiasm to successfully make the townspeople accept her and impress them with chocolate.

1. Vian is a single mom who has been traveling from place to place with her daughter. This time they come to a small town and are not accepted because of their seemingly out-of-the-ordinary behavior. But Vian impressed everyone with her chocolate shop and started a new life.
Vivian is a delicate woman. She can judge people's lives through a little game and then recommend the most suitable chocolate for them.
Vivian is a brave and confident woman. She didn't wear black shoes, didn't pray, and wasn't afraid of pirates. In the face of the slander of the priest and the mayor, she proved herself with her actions and dared to run to the mayor to boldly resist.

When the mayor learns of Serge's domestic violence, he tries to turn him into a gentleman. But no matter how much the appearance is disguised, it is difficult to change a person's interior.
When Josephine refuses Serge's plea, Serge breaks into the chocolate shop drunk at night and nearly kills Vian, but Josephine knocks Seggie unconscious with a pan.
In the end, because of Segy's big mistake, he was expelled from the town by the mayor, and Josephine inherited his coffee shop and ushered in his new life.
