Since ancient times, it is not uncommon for peasants to ascend to the position of emperor. But can you believe that a Chinese peasant became emperor in a foreign country and became the head of the five great emperors in the history of the country? Needless to say, it really exists. That emperor, named Cheng Shin, was the famous Thai emperor who unified Thailand and founded the Thonburi Dynasty, and the current Thai royal family, the Chori Dynasty, was inherited from the Thonburi Dynasty.
Zheng Xin's hometown was in Chaoshan in Guangdong, the Manchus entered the customs to establish the Qing regime, the status of the Han became lower, and Zheng Xin's father, Zheng Yong, began to look for a new way out, that is, to trade on the southeast coast. However, during the Qing Dynasty, the policy of sea prohibition was very severe, and after Zheng Yong did maritime trade for a period of time, he was targeted by the Qing Customs in Guangdong. In desperation, Zheng Yong could only choose to stay in Thailand and marry and have children here.
Zheng Yong married a local Thai woman and gave birth to a son, Zheng Xin, but it did not take long for him to die of water and soil disobedience, and he could only entrust his young son to his friend Pai Ye Jie. An important minister of the Mampluan Dynasty in Thailand at that time, he recognized Zheng Xin as a righteous son and sent him to the court as a guard, paving the way for his future life.
However, when Zheng Xin was just crowned as the lord of Kam Phung Bi City and was about to embark on the peak of his life, the Burmese army invaded, the Man Pu Luang Dynasty was in turmoil, and Zheng Xin was ordered to lead troops to garrison the royal city. However, low morale and backward weapons made it difficult for Thailand to resist the invasion of the Burmese army, so Zheng Xin decided to lead people to break through, first broke away from the encirclement, set up a base in a safe area, and then plotted a counter-offensive.
In early 1766, Zheng Xin marched east to Rayong City, located near the east coast, based on Rayong City, and then gradually recovered the surrounding cities, and finally commanded the Burmese army. It took Zheng Xin just over a year to complete the recovery of all of Thailand, at the age of 34.
It was not enough to recover the territory, at that time, Thailand was in a depression, Zheng Xin decided to take Thonburi as the new capital according to the country's geographical location, establish the Thonburi Dynasty, and use the geographical advantages of foreign trade to restore the thai people's livelihood.
The Burmese invasion sounded a wake-up call for Mr. Cheng, who decided to take the initiative to clean up the surrounding area and avoid the threat of another invasion. Under Taksin's rule, the Thonburi dynasty occupied parts of what is now Laos, Burma, and other countries, and even turned Cambodia into a vassal state of Thailand.
Zheng Xin has made such great achievements, and his reputation has naturally spread back to his hometown in Chaoshan Province. The old relatives were ready to go to Thailand together to congratulate Zheng Xin, who received them warmly and presented 18 large tanks when they returned home. The villagers asked Zheng Xin: "What is this?" Zheng Xin smiled: "This is filled with pickles produced locally from Thailand." "
The villagers thought that Zheng Xin was just a pretext, how could the king of a country only send 18 jars of pickles to his fellow villagers? But on the return boat, they opened the pickle jar and looked at it, and found that it was really filled with pickles? The villagers were very angry, thinking that Zheng Xin had forgotten Ben when he became emperor, so he threw all 17 jars of pickles into the sea, leaving only one jar ready to be brought back to the village, so that other villagers could see how stingy Zheng Xin really was.
After returning to Chaoshan Chenghai Township, under the words of the people, the remaining villagers also knew about Zheng Xin's "feat". One of the young men was so angry that he simply poured out the last jar of pickles and wanted to throw them away. Unexpectedly, this pour poured out the dry in the pickle jar. It turned out that the southeast coast of haikou was rampant, Zheng Xin felt that it was not enough to use the pickle jar to hide people's eyes and ears, he also specially installed a layer of pickles on the surface of the tank, and under the pickles was the treasure he gave to the villagers.
As soon as they saw the gold and silver jewelry hidden in the pickles, the villagers almost did not cry blind, but the other 17 cylinders had long been sunk in the depths of the sea, and could not be fished back, and this last pickle jar has since become the treasure of the Town House of the Zheng Clan in Chenghai Township, Chaoshan Province, and is now still hidden in the Old Mansion of the Zheng Clan, which is easily not to be seen by others, only this tortuous story has been passed out through the mouth of the people.
