In November 1950, during the Second Campaign to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, at the Xiaogaoling position southeast of the 1071.1 highland of the Chosin Lake Battlefield, Yang Gensi, a company commander of the Volunteer Army, led a platoon of fighters to withstand eight onslaughts of the US army.
When the U.S. army launched the ninth onslaught with artillery and air superiority, Yang Gensi picked up more than a dozen kilograms of explosives and rushed into the American crowd. After the loud "boom", Yang Gensi, with his infinite attachment to the motherland and his infinite yearning for new China, died with more than forty enemies.
Yang Gensi, born in 1922 in Taixing County, Jiangsu Province, was born from a poor peasant. When he was eight years old, Yang Gensi's parents died, and he followed his brother to Shanghai to work as a child laborer in a carpet factory.
In 1941, the Japanese burned the flames of war to Shanghai, and affected by the war, the carpet factory closed down, and Yang Gensi and his brother had to return to their hometown. Due to the huge workload in the carpet factory before, my brother became ill with overwork and eventually died of illness because he did not have money for medical treatment.
The most important thing for people to live in the world is their relatives and affection, and Yang Gensi, who lost his last relative, has become a helpless person in this world. At this time, Yang Gensi may not think about the meaning of life, but at this moment, he must feel the loneliness that is infinitely magnified.

The glimmer of hope shone on Yang Gensi, who had heard about the Communist Party and understood that only the Communist Party could rescue a person like him who had come from a poor background; only the Communist Party would regard such a helpless and lonely person as his relative; and only the communist army was willing to fight for the vast number of poor people.
In 1944, at the age of 22, Yang Gensi joined the New Fourth Army and joined the army under the leadership of the Communist Party. It was also in this year that Yang Gensi, like a new person, was no longer the poor people who were forced to give their lives to the bourgeoisie day and night, and were also exploited indefinitely, but became a proletarian fighter who fought for all the poor people in the whole world.

In 1946, Yang Gensi, who was flexible and brave in battle, was sent by his unit to learn blasting techniques. After diligent study and repeated research, Yang Gensi quickly mastered the blasting technology and became an explosives expert.
In June of that year, during the Battle of Tai'an by the New Fourth Army, the enemy occupied a commanding height in the city, which was a church. The enemy occupied the top of the church and fired wildly at our army with machine guns, making it impossible for our army to advance.
Under the stubborn resistance of the enemy, our army could not take the commanding heights for a long time, and the battle fell into a stalemate. At this moment, Yang Gensi took the lead and rushed to the open space not far from the church, throwing 18 grenades at the church roof in a row.
The enemy's crazy machine gun fire was still firing, and the warriors, encouraged by Yang Gensi's bravery, smashed open the door of the church. In the process, Yang Gensi was shot and injured in the face, but he did not flinch because of this, and after simply bandaging the wound, he pounced on the enemy even more bravely.
In January 1947, Yang Gensi's unit fought the enemy in the village of Qi in Zaozhuang, where the enemy hid in a large fortified fortress and engaged in the final battle of trapped beasts.
During the battle, Yang Gensi picked up a package of explosives and rushed into the enemy's bunker. Under the intimidation of this explosive pack in Yang Gensi's arms, the enemy in a platoon in the bunker all laid down their weapons and all walked out of the bunker to surrender to our army. In this way, Yang Gensi set a record for the highest number of enemies captured by a single person.

Yang Gensi followed the troops and successively participated in the Battle of Huaihai, the Battle of Crossing the River, and the Battle of Shanghai. Because Yang Gensi fought bravely and bravely on the battlefield, he was always able to make battle achievements, and he was promoted from a soldier to a company commander.

By the time the U.S. First Marine Division realized it, it was too late. They were like more than a dozen pounds of fresh river crabs, which were suddenly packed into bamboo baskets by our army. Seeing that the situation was not good, the US troops prepared to flee the encirclement formed by our army.

Facing several times his own U.S. troops, Yang Gensi led a platoon of fighters, like an Optimus Prime, standing motionless on the Position of Little Gaoling. The weapons and equipment in the volunteer army were extremely precious, especially the machine guns. There was also a machine gun in the position, in order not to let this machine gun fall into the hands of the enemy, and to remain in the volunteer army to exert its power, Yang Gensi ordered the platoon leader to retreat first with the machine gun, and he stayed in the Xiaogaoling position to continue to fight the enemy.
The enemy finally launched a ninth attack, and more than forty American troops cautiously launched an attack on the small high-neck position. Just when they were about to capture the small high-collar position, Yang Gensi, who was hiding in the trench, picked up a pack of more than ten kilograms of explosives and suddenly rushed out of the position and jumped towards the American soldiers.
There was a loud "boom" and a deafening explosion, and Yang Gensi and more than forty American troops were killed. After The heroic sacrifice of Yang Gensi, the US army no longer dared to launch an attack on this empty position.
