Shenzhen News Network reporter: Director Chen, hello. In the beginning, how did the Spring Festival Gala program team of CCTV find you to design the main visual image?
Chen Xiangbo: I started to create zodiac signs six years ago, and every year there will be relevant works launched, and this year's Year of the Tiger is no exception. I have come into contact with a lot of young friends who do design and fashion play in my work, so I want to try a little bit in this regard, in addition to painting traditional zodiac signs, I also try to use pens to outline some patterns, so that zodiac works can be closer to young people.
After I finished drawing the image of "Tiggo", some of the small partners in our unit found it particularly interesting after watching it and wanted to design it into the form of tide play. I went through brush refinement, 3D modeling, computer refinement on top of my earliest manuscripts, and finally formed the final pattern. So it's actually the result of our team working together. After the painting, I "dried" in the circle of friends and was seen by the staff of the Spring Festival Gala, so I was contacted.
Shenzhen News Network reporter: Your series of works on the zodiac tiger this year will also have postcards and art exhibitions, why do you have a special love for the creation of the zodiac?
Chen Xiangbo: Young people are more interested in constellations, and they seem to have forgotten about the zodiac, so I hope to carry forward China's excellent traditional culture through creations and exhibitions related to the zodiac. Through this form, we can tell the Story of China with young people. In my second year of creating zodiac signs, I signed a contract with the State Post Office to publish postcards with postage every year, which is now my fifth year.

Shenzhen News Network reporter: The "Tiggo" you designed this time is very different from the fierce tiger in our traditional impression. Why did you want to design such an image, and what kind of meaning do you want to express?
Chen Xiangbo: The tiger feels that it is an authority and majesty, and it is still an image of disaster relief and evil in traditional Chinese culture, and it is pinned on people's expectations for a better life. Therefore, I think that in the era of COVID-19 prevention and control, the arrival of the Year of the Tiger will certainly inspire Chinese people and inspire people around the world to defeat the epidemic. The reason why the tiger is designed as a cute image is also to hope that the people's expectations for future life can be pinned on, and it stands there, and there is still a bit of majesty in "Meng".
Shenzhen News Network reporter: You have a lot of exchanges with young artists in Shenzhen who do fashion games, and you yourself are an artist engaged in traditional art. In your opinion, how should we combine Shenzhen's hip play culture with our traditional art?
Chen Xiangbo: Shenzhen is the design capital of China, and many important design exhibitions and fashion exhibitions are held in Shenzhen. In addition, the city of Shenzhen has always been a representative of innovation and rejuvenation, so the tide play culture can appear and develop in Shenzhen. It is precisely because I am in Shenzhen that I have many opportunities to contact these young people and get in touch with the emerging culture of tide play.
As literary and art workers in Shenzhen, we must all the more echo the changes and development of the times. Shenzhen has provided us with such conditions, the times have given us such opportunities, and we have also seized this condition and followed the trend to do some work.

Shenzhen News Network reporter: How will your work "Tiggo" create a cultural and creative product "IP" next?
Chen Xiangbo: This time, our "Tiggo" tide play product is officially called "Mengbao TIGER", with two small wings on the back, taking the meaning of the idiom "like a tiger adding wings". In addition, we will also successively launch a series of cultural and creative products such as mobile phone cases, mobile phone pendants, clothing, silk scarves and so on.
In fact, Guan Shanyue Art Museum is a national cultural and creative pilot unit identified by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2018, and it is also a cultural and creative pilot unit in Guangdong Province. In terms of cultural creation, we have also done a series of explorations. We hope that through the IP of "Mengbao TIGER", we will make a breakthrough in our cultural creation. Through cultural creativity to spread our traditional culture, promote Shenzhen cultural and creative to have a greater influence in the country and even the world.
At the end of the interview, Chen Xiangbo held a golden "Tiggo" in his hand and sent New Year's wishes to the netizens of Shenzhen News Network, "Wishing Shenzhen News Network netizens peace and joy in the Year of the Tiger".
