In November last year, Mr. Fan, a Shanghai citizen, went to a company to apply for an online ride-hailing driver, and when Mr. Fan signed the contract and paid a management fee of 7700 yuan and a deposit, he found that in fact, the daily dispatch volume was far less than promised, and he also had to pay the management fee every day, so Mr. Fan proposed to terminate the contract. However, the company still deducted a deposit of 5200 yuan for unilateral breach of contract and vehicle scratches as liquidated damages, and Mr. Fan chose to call the police.

After combing and investigating, the police initially grasped the fraud and criminal method of the relevant car rental company to force the lessee to breach the contract by setting harsh operating indicators, deliberately providing faulty vehicles, etc., after collecting the tenant's deposit, and using the trap set in the contract to forcibly occupy the full or part of the deposit. On December 7, the police launched a network collection operation against car rental companies suspected of "routine car rental" fraud, and arrested more than 50 criminal suspects such as Zhao Mou and Huang Mou, the main responsible persons.
