Su Shi was the "Four Greats" of the Northern Song Dynasty, a typical literati calligrapher, with a strong font and a strong sense of meaning. Focus on writing "intentions" and go your own way. Huang Tingjian, one of the "Four Bachelors of Sumen", said that "his book is charming, to the point of drunkenness, his forgetfulness and clumsiness, and his characters are particularly thin... As for the round and rhymed victory of the pen, the article is wonderful, the loyalty and righteousness run through the sun and the moon, and the good book of this dynasty is pushed as the first."

Su Shi studied all over the Jin, Tang, and five generations of famous masters, thanks to Wang Shengqian, Li Yong, Xu Hao, Yan Zhenqing, and Yang Ningshi, and became a family of his own. Ziyun: "I can't create my own intentions in books"; and Yun: "Self-made novelty, do not practice the ancients." Huang Tingjian said: "In the early years, he used his pen to be as good as the boss and approached nature"; and Youyun: "After arriving in Huangzhou, the pen was extremely powerful." ”
In his later years, Su Shi also threatened the trend of overseas winds and waves, coupled with his knowledge, mind, and insight, and his life was full of ups and downs, and his calligraphy style was rich and ups and downs, naïve and vast, and he could imagine his calligraphy as a person.
