At this time, Jiang Xieyuan led his 12th Division in time to support. Otherwise, this position is likely to be broken through by the Kuomintang's concentrated forces. The final battle with the Kuomintang continued until dusk, and the Nationalist army, which had suffered heavy casualties, had completely lost its fighting spirit.
Their mission was to support the Nationalist forces in Jinzhou in a decisive battle with the Communist People's Liberation Army.
