In addition, Zhang Qingheng also integrated elements from Chinese cartoons, such as Nezha, Sun Wukong, Huluwa, Snow Child, etc. When showing the graceful movements of ice and snow athletes, he also used the image of Dunhuang Flying Sky to show everyone. In order to show China's rich cultural and historical heritage, he also integrated many historical figures into his works, such as terracotta warriors and ancient generals.
The reporter learned that this is not the first time that Zhang Qingheng has created a sand painting with the theme of the Winter Olympics. On December 16, 2021, he completed the Beijing Winter Olympics sand painting "Burning Love Winter Olympics, The Covenant of Ice and Snow" in 5 days, showing short track speed skating, figure skating and other sports in the sand painting. He told the Yangtze Evening News/Purple Cow News reporter that his favorite sport is figure skating, "dancing on ice is so beautiful, it looks like a painting".
Born in 1992, Zhang Qingheng is currently a railway employee at the Nanjing East Railway Station of Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd., and has been teaching himself sand painting since 2012 and has created more than 20 sand painting works in 10 years.
