Zhang Yimin pointed out that in recent years, whether it is in the national art creation category, or the "National Art Museum Collection Excellent Exhibition Season Excellent Exhibition Project", "National Art Museum Excellent Exhibition Project" and other art museum related appraisals, the number of awards in Guangdong Province is in the forefront of the country.
With the continuous improvement of the cultural public service system in our province, the art museum undertakings in our province have also developed rapidly, and the number of art museums at or above the county level has greatly increased. It is hoped that the new Guangdong Art Museum Association will continue to play a leading role in the industry, have the courage to innovate, work solidly, and continue to grow and develop.
It is believed that with the joint efforts of the member museums, the association will promote academic construction and continue to make positive contributions to the high-quality development of the Guangdong Provincial Art Museum.
Founded in 2015 under the guidance of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province, the Guangdong Provincial Art Museum Association is the first provincial-level art museum association in China, which contributes to promoting the standardization, specialization and standardization of Guangdong Art Museum, enhancing the cultural soft power of Guangdong Province, and building a culturally strong province in Guangdong.
Luo Yiping, president of the first Guangdong Provincial Art Museum Association, made a report on the work of the first council at the conference, summarizing the six years of the first council, adhering to the correct purpose of running the meeting, completing the grading evaluation of the Guangdong Provincial Art Museum, and editing the "Complete Collection of Evaluation and Grading Books of the Guangdong Provincial Art Museum", achieving the goal of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism of "promoting construction with evaluation". At the same time, extensive academic business exchanges have been carried out, which has promoted the in-depth development of academic research of the art museum and consolidated and expanded the social influence of the Guangdong Provincial Art Museum.

Wang Shaoqiang was elected president of the Guangdong Provincial Art Museum Association. Wang Ping, Fang Yiling, Liu Chunchao, Guan Zhiquan, Zhang Yanfang, Chen Xiangbo, Zheng Apan, Hu Bin and Cai Xianliang were elected as vice presidents of the association (in order of surname strokes). Xie Jun was elected as a supervisor. Huang Yaqun was elected Secretary-General.

The new president, Wang Shaoqiang, said in his speech that the new Guangdong Provincial Art Museum Association will jointly build another innovative mechanism in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Humanistic Bay Area under the correct guidance of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the joint efforts of the members of the Association, so as to continue to contribute to the construction of Guangdong Cultural Province, a strong fine arts province, and the development of the Guangdong Provincial Art Museum.
