Why is there an arrow inserted in the plaque of the Forbidden City? I haven't dared to pull it out for more than 200 years, who shot it?

The Forbidden City in Beijing was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties in China, just in the central axis of Beijing, and in general, it is divided into two parts: the outer dynasty and the inner court. The outer court is the three halls of the Taihe Hall, the Zhonghe Hall, and the Bohe Hall, and the inner court is really the Qianqing Palace, the Jiaotai Palace, and the Kunning Palace, which are the places where the emperor and empress live. No matter where there is a door, the main gate of the inner court is called Qianqingmen, and after the Qianqingmen is the living area of the empress's concubines and princes.

The so-called Shang early dynasty was held at the Qianqing Gate, and on the east side of the Qianqing Gate was the Inner Left Gate and the Jiuqing Duty Room, while to the west was the Inner Right Gate and the Military Aircraft Division. From these arrangements, it is enough to see the importance of the Qianqing Gate, the place where the emperor does things and the sleeping palace, which belongs to the most important place of the imperial palace. But what many people did not expect was that there was an arrow on the plaque of the Longzong Gate on the west side of the Qianqing Gate. Why is there an arrow in such a position? And the emperors have not pulled it out, is there any special purpose for this? Who shot it?

First of all, let's talk about the location of the Longzong Gate, which is on the west side of the Qianqing Gate and opposite the Jingyun Gate in the east, and the shape is the same. Yellow glazed tiles, single eaves on the top of the mountain, the beams have ink lines and large dots of gold spindle color painting. Inside this door, to the north is the duty room of the military aircraft office, and directly west of the door is the Cining Palace. Those who have watched the palace fighting drama must be familiar with the Cining Palace, which is the residence of the empress dowager of the Qing Dynasty. This gate also became a very important passage between the inner court and the outer insertion, and it was a very important forbidden door from the emperor's residence. Generally speaking, without the emperor's call, even the princes and ministers could not enter the place privately.

The plaque is an important part of the composition of ancient buildings, and it is also the eye of ancient buildings, mostly hanging directly above the door and under the eaves. Who can come here and shoot an arrow? In fact, this was caused by the humiliation of the qing room. The matter has to start from the eighteenth year of Jiaqing (1813), this year, the Qing Dynasty underwent a change of decanter. To put it simply, it was the Tianli Sect peasant revolt in Henan, Shandong, and Zhili.

On September 15, they directly attacked the palace with the help of eunuchs, and you read that right, that's it. The reason why the eunuchs cooperated was because Lin Qing, the leader of the Tianli Sect, was particularly willing to win people's hearts and promise them the benefits of money, land, and official positions, and the eunuchs even believed it. As a result, the change of decanter occurred, and the emperor was not in the palace at that time, but the concubines and princes were all there. The funniest thing was that the general Ce Ling, who guarded the noon gate, heard the news and actually took the lead in running.

So the rebel army fought until the Longzong Gate was hindered, and the concubines who were well-regarded in the harem were panicked when they heard these killing sounds. The princes were originally studying in the Shang Study Room, and when they heard the news, they were also frightened, and the thirty-one-year-old Min Ning was the first to calm down. No wonder that in the end he was the emperor, and Min Ning asked the eunuch to bring a shotgun and a waist knife, and rushed out. Just when he saw two people climbing up the Yangxin Hall, Min Ning shot and killed them under the steps.

Then he issued several orders, first informing Jiaqing, and second, closing the city gates, and sending people to comfort the empress and let Miankai protect her. He himself continued to inspect, and since Min Ning had later succeeded to the throne, the Tianli Sect was naturally the one who had failed miserably. This can be regarded as something that the Han and Tang dynasties and Song Ming did not do, and when Jiaqing returned, he ordered the slaughter of the rebel army and issued a decree to sin against himself. In fact, in the eighteenth year of Jiaqing, not only the capital, but also the Tianli sects in the three provinces have risen up one after another, shocking the government and the public.

The sensation in the capital was the invasion of the Forbidden City, and the arrow on the plaque of Longzong Gate was left in that incident. In order to let future generations remember the shame of this time, the Jiaqing Emperor ordered that it should not be pulled, so it has always been on it. I have to say that Jiaqing's throne is very unstable, and the mess left by Qianlong is not only without money. There are also endless uprisings, which also show the decadence of the Great Qing, and are not far from extinction.
