It is reported that Valeria graduated from the Institute of Mathematical Machinery of Information Science of Nizhny Novgorod State University. She has been participating in programming competitions since grade 10. After entering the university, she was discovered by Coach Shmelev Alexey and invited her to join her own ICPC training class.

Shmelev Alexey joined Huawei's Nizhny Novgorod Institute in August 2021. Influenced by him, Valeria contacted Huawei during her university years and officially joined the Nizhny Novgorod Institute on December 21, 2021, engaged in research on intelligent computing application acceleration technology.

According to Huawei, Valeria joined Huawei on the same day as a young ICPC semifinal winner, Ilya Hlyustorv. Iria, 20, a student at Nizhny Novgorod State University and her new teammate, has made it to the 45th ICPC Regional Semifinals and will compete in the World Finals in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in November 2022.
