At the ongoing Tokyo Modification Show 2022, Subaru's second pure electric model, the Subaru STI E-RA concept car, was officially unveiled, which Subaru officially called a high-performance sports car in the carbon-neutral era.

From the outside, the body uses a very exaggerated aerodynamic kit, and the huge rear wing at the rear and the rear diffuser indicate that the car will be a very violent driving machine. The car also uses the latest design language, but subaru STI's iconic "C" type daytime running lights have been retained.
Powered by four motors, distributed on four wheels, the car is expected to have a total power of 800 kW (1,088 hp) and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 60 kWh. Subaru plans to use a production version of the STI E-RA concept to challenge the Nürburgring's 6 minutes and 40 second lap record.
