At the 2022 Tokyo Tuning Show (TAS), the Subaru STI E-RA concept car was officially unveiled. The new car demonstrates Subaru's understanding and direction of future electrification performance.
In terms of appearance, the styling design of this new car is very sci-fi, and such a bold design may have been seen only in sci-fi movies or games before. The new front face is equipped with an exaggerated front diverter, a red trim at the central grille, an STI letter logo on the hood and a lighting effect, and A C-shaped headlights on both sides of the front, making the front face extremely aggressive.
The concept has a very streamlined side, with a bubble roof design, a very advanced aerodynamic design of the body, and a giant rear wing and a giant rear diffuser.
In terms of power, it will be equipped with four motors at four wheels, with a total power of 800 kW, and its acceleration time of 0-100 km/h is also very worth looking forward to. The battery will be equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 60 kWh. In addition, Subaru equipped the new car with sophisticated torque vectoring technology that accepts signals from sensors to determine the optimal drive and braking pressure for each wheel.
It is worth mentioning that Subaru will challenge the 400-second (6:40) lap time of the Nürburgring after 2023 with the production version of the Subaru STI E-RA Concept!
