Previously, Hongqi has launched a compact SUV E-HS3, although the official website is on sale, but dealers say that it has been in a state of discontinuation, and the upcoming Hongqi HS3 can be seen as the former's fuel version of the model, the new car in the appearance, interior design and size may make response adjustments. From the perspective of positioning, after the new car is launched, it will compete with luxury entry-level compact SUVs such as Mercedes-Benz GLA, Audi Q3 and BMW X1.
Bidding information shows that Hongqi HS3 will provide oil-electric hybrid power system, and the current brand in the hybrid system is only planned in the C100/C101 two models, has not been officially put into use, but the new car will most likely also be equipped with the same 1.5T + dual motor oil-electric hybrid system, of which the engine power is 135kW, the peak torque is 290N·m, the motor power is 140kW, the torque is 280N·m, and the fuel consumption of 100 km is expected to be about 5L.
