A few days ago, Volkswagen Kanche obtained from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology the declaration chart of the methanol hybrid version model created by Geely Automobile based on the new generation of Emgrand. According to the declaration information, the appearance of the new car is basically the same as that of the new Emgrand, but the power will use a methanol engine, and the maximum power of the engine is 132 horsepower (97 kW).
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the latest design language of the Geely family, and the straight waterfall grille with the all-black brand LOGO looks very sporty. Of course, since it is a new energy model, the Emgrand methanol hybrid version is supplemented by fluorescent green trim strips in the details of the front and rear bumpers, highlighting the difference between itself and the fuel version.
The side of the body is still using dynamic lines, which further enhances the appearance of this car. The rear of the body adopts a small ducktail design, with a through-type tail light group, which is full of movement. In terms of body size, the new Emgrand methanol version is the same as the current fuel vehicle, with a length, width and height of 4638/1820/1460mm, and a wheelbase of 2650mm.
In terms of configuration, from the declaration chart, the new car will be available in two sizes, 205/55 R16 and 205/50 R17. It is also equipped with practical configurations such as sunroof, 360-degree panoramic camera, reversing radar and so on.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.8-liter methanol hybrid system modeled JLC-4M18H, with a maximum engine power of 97 kW. According to the relevant introduction of Geely Automobile, compared with traditional fuel models, formaldehyde fuel engine combustion is also more sufficient, and the power data is almost the same. Most importantly, methanol will form water and a small amount of carbon dioxide after combustion, which is more environmentally friendly than fuel models.
