Qiu Yi: The KUOMINTANG has no future! Is there still hope for Taiwan's peaceful reunification?

author:Professor Zhang Yuanwei

I have always admired Mr. Qiu Yi, a former Kuomintang "legislator" from Taiwan, not only because of his sharp language, his quick and vengeful character, his unique and thorough analysis, his three-point view, and his frank and selfless gentleman's style, but also because of his patriotic heart.

He is rarely mentioned in my articles, and he is rarely explained in videos. Today, I still can't help but repeat his words here: The death pit of the KMT has been found by the DPP, and there is no future.

Qiu Yi: The KUOMINTANG has no future! Is there still hope for Taiwan's peaceful reunification?

Recently, Taiwan's Chinese Kuomintang completely lost in four referendums, a by-election for "legislators" in Taichung City, and the removal of Lin Changzuo, an unpartisan "legislator" in Taipei City. It is said that victory or defeat in electoral politics is a common thing, and a few defeats are not enough to constitute a death sentence for the future future of a party. But how to deal with failure, whether to seriously review the reasons for failure, or to shirk responsibility, is very important for a party or organization. The CPC's great success in Chinese mainland lies in the fact that the CPC has constantly summed up and reviewed itself in the course of its advance, and has learned the lessons of its failures and successful experiences. As for the historical Kuomintang, we will leave aside, just to mention the recent series of defeats, the phenomenon of "no one in the army is a boy" has appeared in the Kuomintang. Qiu Yi said that 3 consecutive defeats in 1 month are unprecedented, and what is more serious is that the chairman of a century-old party has found a young man in his 30s to push the responsibility for the failure to the former party chairman Jiang Qichen, which is very naïve, and represents that this chairman is simply useless. Zhu's practice even caused Pang Jianguo, a former "legislator" of the Kuomintang, to show his death.

Qiu Yi: The KUOMINTANG has no future! Is there still hope for Taiwan's peaceful reunification?

Regarding the worries about the future of the KMT and Taiwan, the four-foot boy "Hong Xiuzhu" even pointed out that the party has experienced three setbacks in one month, and it is really necessary to think bitterly and reflect deeply on itself. If we cannot firmly follow the correct path and firmly grasp our own right to speak,------ then there will be only one dead end in Taiwan's future.

Why did Qiu Yi and Hong Xiuzhu, who were extremely patriotic and patriotic of the Kuomintang, point out that the KMT had no future? Because the deeper they love, the more painful it is.

Regarding the problem that the KMT has no future, Mr. Qiu Yi pointed out four reasons. The first is that the KMT has no generals and is not willing to put on a front for the party; second, the KMT should adopt the passive defensive combat method of "encircling Wei and saving Zhao" in the face of the election campaign, but all adopt the passive defensive combat method of "soldiers will block and flood the water and soil"; the third is the DPP's attack tactics, so that no matter who the KMT is, he will be beaten from heaven to hell and from angel to devil; fourth, the KMT at the helm must have a very strong resistance to pressure and resilience, but the reality is that there is none.

From the tactical level of the campaign, Mr. Qiu Yi's analysis is indeed pertinent, but it is still more from the perspective of "technique" to view the defeat of the KMT, while Ms. Hong Xiuzhu thoroughly saw the essence of the KMT's defeat, Ms. Hong wrote:

Qiu Yi: The KUOMINTANG has no future! Is there still hope for Taiwan's peaceful reunification?

"Many voices advocating 'reform' actually hope that our party will abandon all the principles it should adhere to, take the so-called 'middle line', and not touch the sensitive issue of reunification and independence in response to electoral considerations. For example, every time the party loses an election, the '1992 Consensus' becomes the target of public criticism, but no one has ever thought about it, and when the party wins the election, the '1992 Consensus' has always been the party's cross-strait policy proposition. The question is not the '1992 Consensus', but whether we have the capacity, wisdom and courage to articulate our position. ”

Ms. Hong Xiuzhu, the only boy in the "army," really poked at the essence of the Kuomintang's defeat.

A political party should have the banner of a political party and the soul of a political party; without a banner and without a soul, it is impossible to unite the majority of party members and to rally the broad masses of the people.

When Dr. Sun Yat-sen founded the Kuomintang, the "Three People's Principles" followed many elites around the world. When the Communist Party was founded, in order to achieve the great goals of socialism and communism without oppression and without exploitation of equality for all, the toiling masses of the whole world went to the soup and the fire. Even the Democratic Progressive Party, which splits the motherland, has raised a banner of "independence" to build the country.

In her post, Ms. Hong Xiuzhu further preached that a political party can lose an election, but it cannot lose her soul; it can lose her territory, but it cannot lose her insistence on values. Success or failure is the norm, but without the soul, morality and line of the party, this party will surely perish.

Where is the KMT's hope? Hold high the great banner of the reunification of the motherland, take a clear-cut stand on reunification, take the road of reunification in a down-to-earth manner, let "national reunification, like the "Three People's Principles" of that year, become the "soul" of the Kuomintang, regard the realization of "the same country" as the party's goal of struggle, let the idea of "national reunification" take root in the hearts of party members, and expand and influence the new generation of young people to blossom and bear fruit.

Of course, while propagating national reunification and acknowledging the "1992 Consensus," we must constantly expose the harm of the DPP's "Taiwan independence." Since its founding, a small Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has been constantly agitating for "independence" to this day, and if a century-old party and a KmT that once took "expelling the Tartars and restoring China" as its mission can hold high the banner of "national reunification" today and have the strong backing of the Chinese mainland, will they not be able to create glory again?

I hope that Chairman Zhu Lilun will have courage, responsibility, and the general situation. The DPP authorities are at best a historic panderman, and their demise is not far off. When the Kuomintang takes the reunification of the motherland as its great task, it will be able to get rid of the predicament of being in Taiwan in the short term, and in the long run, it will certainly be able to work with the CPC to jointly create the great cause of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
