Born in 1908, Li Zhen is a native of Hunan, because of the influence of the feudal era, Li Zhen did not have the opportunity to receive education when she was young, and her parents gave her to others as a child bride when she was very young. Li Zhen sent people to the fence, and she couldn't eat enough, and her heart had always longed to escape from this cannibalistic place.
Until 1926, the rise of revolutionary movements in various places gave Li Zhen hope. Although the in-laws tried their best to obstruct her, and even threatened that she would be rude to her if she dared to leave, Li Zhen still cut off her long hair to show her ambitions, and she also gave herself the name Li Zhen, just to show the meaning of indomitable.
The following year, Li Zhen became a party member. Because of Chiang Kai-shek's series of brutal acts, many party members died gloriously that year, and Li Zhen knew that only by taking up arms could she protect herself and the people, so she and other party members established the Peasant Red Guards.
The following year, with the support of Mr. Peng, this team grew stronger and stronger, becoming a decent Liudong guerrilla group. At the same time as the career continued to develop, Li Zhen also met a love partner, he was Li Zhen's husband Gan Siqi, the two later had a love crystallization, but unfortunately the child was lost during the Long March.
For the revolution, Li Zhen paid too much, she used her seemingly weak body to prop up a piece of the sky, in the face of the revolutionary cause, she put the party membership in the first place, gender in the last place. She led by example and used her life to tell us that women can actually reach the same heights as men.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Li Zhen also participated in the war to resist the United States and aid Korea, and was awarded the rank of major general in 1955, becoming the first female general in New China. In her later years, Li Zhen enjoyed the treatment of deputy of the Grand Military Region, she was appointed as a member of the Central Advisory Committee, and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to the construction of the motherland, and finally died of illness in 1990 at the age of 82.
Li Zhen has only one regret in her life, that is, she has no children, but she and her husband have done a very great thing, they have adopted more than two dozen orphans.
