Seeing that there was a danger of premature death, 15-year-old Huo Dongge, in addition to grief and anger, resolutely went to Shanghai with his uncle Huo Yuanqing to complete his father's unfinished business.

Coupled with the fact that Huo Dongge's martial arts were fully passed on by Huo Yuanjia, he was very good, so his existence undoubtedly became a reassuring pill for the Jingwu Sports Association. In 1920, the Guangdong Jingwu Branch was established, and Huo Dongge was invited to Guangzhou to teach. Later, at the invitation of Wen Shude, commander-in-chief of the Navy, Huo Dongge served as a martial arts instructor for the Guangzhou Navy.
But not long after, Wen Shude betrayed Sun Yat-sen and turned to Yuan Shikai. Despite Wen Shude's best efforts to retain it, Huo Dongge still brushed his sleeves away in anger.
Huo Dongge decided to continue to develop the Jingwu Sports Association and had the idea of starting a business abroad. So he crossed the ocean to Surabaya, Java, where he settled down and visited Chinese gentry merchants during the day and practiced boxing at the nanyang tobacco company faculty at night.
For a long time, chinese gentry merchants were very indifferent to Huo Dongge's lobbying, but Huo Dongge was not discouraged. Once, Surabaya Middle School raised money, and in order to attract more people, they invited Huo Dongge to perform martial arts performances. Huo Dongge agreed indignantly and performed a set of lost fists on the stage. His wonderful performance received a thunderous applause. At the repeated requests of the audience, he performed a set of "Drunken Eight Immortals", which made everyone feast their eyes and admire.

Seeing that there were many martial artists enrolled in the club, Huo Dongge wrote to his nephew Huo Shousong, who taught boxing in the Guangdong branch, asking him to come and assist in the affairs of the Jingwu Sports Branch. Huo Dongge continued to promote martial arts everywhere, and even made the results of the Jingwu Sports Club into a movie for publicity.
Not to mention, that movie caused a sensation throughout Indonesia, and the style of martial arts was also popular.
Huo Dongge has successively established branches in Batavia, Bandung, Palembang and other places, so that the Jingwu Sports Club will blossom everywhere abroad.
Huo Dongge is not only dedicated to promoting martial arts, he also has a high patriotic spirit.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, in order to support the front-line operations, Huo Dongge led his members around to publicize and demonstrate. In order to provide more money to the front, he performed everywhere to collect donations. His patriotic enthusiasm touched many Chinese, and everyone reached out to help and support the War of Resistance.
After the Japanese army occupied Java, Huo Dongge did not hesitate to move forward, and continued to carry out anti-Japanese propaganda and performances in various places. As a result, he was arrested by the Japanese during a speech. After being imprisoned, he taught patriotic songs and did anti-Japanese propaganda in prison.
After the Japanese government announced its surrender, Huo Dongge finally regained his freedom.
In addition to promoting martial arts in Indonesia and developing the Jingwu Sports Branch, Huo Dongge is also proficient in medicine, not only has a family heirloom secret recipe for treating trauma, but he also constantly studies Traditional Chinese medicine. Especially after arriving in Java, he saw that the medical conditions in the local area were extremely poor, and there was a shortage of medical treatment, so he practiced medicine to save people while teaching boxing. Of course, Huo Dongge, who had lived overseas for a long time, also missed his family, so he returned to his hometown in 1926 and 1935. For the first time, he wanted to take away his second son Huo Wenting, but the painful scene of the separation of mother and son made him unbearable and had to give up. The second time, he wanted to establish a Jingwu Sports Branch in Tianjin, but due to family reasons, coupled with the fact that the overseas Jingwu Branch was always urging him to go back to deal with affairs, he failed to do so.
In 1956, at the age of 62, Huo Dongge died of illness in Java. Despite his death, the Jingwu Overseas Branch he developed continued to grow with the efforts of the martial arts talents he cultivated, and to this day, the Overseas Jingwu Branch is still thriving, and its members are all over the world.
