In 1909, when the 41-year-old Huo Yuanjia was introduced to Shanghai by Nong Jinsun, he came to Shanghai with his eldest apprentice Liu Zhensheng, in fact, Huo Yuanjia died more than a year after he arrived in Shanghai (September 1910). However, because the boss behind the "Jingwuhui" is the Alliance Association, it has a great impact.

After Huo Yuanjia's death, it was his second son Huo Dongge who succeeded Huo Yuanjia as the instructor of the Jingwu Society. But because Chen Qimei died, his fame in Shanghai was far less than that of his father.
Huo Yuanjia's eldest son Huo Dongzhang, the eldest daughter Huo Dongru, the second daughter Huo Dongling, and the younger daughter Huo Dongqin. Basically, they all stayed in The Small Nanhe Village of Jinghai in Tianjin to work as farmers, and they have long been lost in history.
And Huo Dongge is really famous in Nanyang.
In 1920, the 25-year-old Huo Dongge was invited by Chen Gongzhe and Lu Weichang to teach at the Jingwu Branch in Guangzhou, which was the base of the Great Revolution at that time. Therefore, the Jingwuhui developed rapidly, and Huo Dongge also entered a high-speed period of career discovery.
However, at this time, his wife Yu Shi could not adapt to the humid and hot life in the south, so Huo Dongge had to return to Tianjin with his wife.
But some time later in Tianjin, in early 1923, Huo Dongge decided to go south and returned to Guangzhou with his nephew Huo Shousong (Huo Dongzhang's son), when Sun Yat-sen reorganized the Grand Marshal's Office in Guangzhou and actively planned to unify China. Along the way, they encountered a general strike on the Beijing-Hankou Railway, as well as the suppression of the strike movement by the Beiyang government.
The above eventually triggered Huo Dongge to go to Nanyang to contact local overseas Chinese gentry and businessmen, lobbying for the development of sports, and at the same time publicizing the revolution in disguise.
Therefore, Huo Dongge told the elders of Jingwu Lu Weichang and Luo Xiaochao about his intention to travel south, and received their support.
Huo Dongge left his nephew in Guangzhou, and he himself was alone from Hong Kong to take a ship to Nanyang. On June 12, 1923, Huo Dongge arrived in the city of Surabaya (Surabaya) in Java (Indonesia).
But in Nanyang, the business did not go as smoothly as expected. Nanyang overseas Chinese re-learning concept is very traditional, attaches importance to education, to create a school, to contribute money, but do not know much about the study of martial arts.
But a year later, a casual move completely opened up the situation of Huo Dongge.
Surabaya Zhonghua School raised funds for the drama, so it also invited Huo Dongge to play a vaudeville and sell art. As a result, it was this move that solved the dilemma facing Huo Dongge.
Huo Dongge played a set of lost fists and a set of drunken eight immortals on the stage, which immediately caused a sensation, and the applause was endless. The next day, the family lined up to learn the art.

Huo Dongge first built the Surabaya Jingwu Sports Association. Because there were too many apprentices and too good business, he summoned his nephew Huo Shousong, who remained in Guangzhou, to help himself and preside over the Surabaya Jingwu Sports Club.
Huo Dongge himself took advantage of the victory and went everywhere to publicize it. In December 1925, the "Bar City Jingwu Association" was established in Bartavia (Jakarta).
Later, Jingwu branches were established in Palembang, Zhilikun, Semarang, Solo, Bandung, Andu Kalang.
In this process, Huo Dongge paid too much hardship, opened a pharmacy, did a push advertisement (distributed leaflets), did event marketing (people engaged in activities, he installed wings on bicycles, and rode down from the sky), and even filmed his martial arts into a movie promo, round-robin screening.
So from the current point of view, Huo Dongge is not only a martial arts master, but also a chain store promotion master, the professionalism is quite good, and the actual contribution is not much worse than Huo Yuanjia.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Huo Dongge and Huo Shousong's uncles and nephews led the members of jingwu to travel all over Java and perform charity performances everywhere to collect donations for the anti-Japanese resistance. It also continuously organized and transported a large number of manpower and material resources back to China to resist Japan.
As a result, when the Pacific War broke out and the Japanese occupied Java, Huo Dongge was imprisoned by the Japanese gendarmes for organizing anti-Japanese donations.
Huo Dongge's reputation in Nanyang is very large, and the Javanese overseas Chinese XiWu disciples basically teach him. Unfortunately, he died of illness in 1956 at the age of 62, and was buried in the Chi Nha Lu Cemetery in Bandung, Indonesia, and the funeral received attention and condolences from all walks of life in Java.
Since his career was in Java, since Huo Dongge went to Nanyang, he had only returned to China twice before and after. The descendants of Huo Dongge and Huo Shousong later basically became Indonesians.
