At the beginning of 2022, the supply of N-type battery modules ushered in two big news, one is that on January 1, 2022, a new energy publicly announced a monocrystalline N-type 182 bifacial battery (mainstream efficiency >24.5%), the RMB quotation reference 1.21 yuan / W, the US dollar quotation reference 0.169 US dollars / W. Mono-crystal N-type 182 double-sided double-glass module (mainstream power >550W), the RMB quotation is 1.99 yuan / W, and the US dollar is quoted at 0.278 US dollars / W. A new energy has 5GW of N-type 182 production, N-type cells and modules are ordered, and it is expected to be shipped in batches in March. Second, on January 5, 2022, Anhui JinkoSolar Co., Ltd. announced the production of 8GW of high-efficiency N-type cells.
On the demand side, on January 7, 2022, issued the first batch of e-commerce procurement (photovoltaic modules, inverters, EPCs) bidding announcements in 2022, including 4.5GW of photovoltaic modules, it is worth mentioning that it includes 200MW of N-type module procurement. This proves that the terminal has begun to pay attention to the value of N-type components for the terminal installation. Coincidentally, at the beginning of the new year in 2022, iKang Optoelectronics won the order of 135MW heterojunction (HJT) components from important customers at home and abroad, and in the negotiation of the intention to order more than 2GW, iKang Technology will complete the shipment delivery to overseas customers at the end of February.
At the beginning of 2022, the intensive dynamics of the N-type battery module market triggered a hot discussion in the market, and many people in the industry believe that 2022 will be the first year of mass production of N-type battery modules. Looking back at 2021, N-type cells have been expanding on a large scale. According to incomplete statistics from Longzhong Information, the production capacity of N-type cells up to now is 22.71GW, and the production capacity of N-type cells to be built is 212.29GW.

From the above table, it can be seen that most of the N-type battery module projects that have been put into production are TOPCON technical routes, and most of the battery module projects with HJT technology are still at the pilot line level. The N-type battery module of TOPCON technology that has landed may be able to usher in 10GW of shipments this year, while the N-type battery module of the HJT technology route is expected to reach the shipment level of 10GW in 2023.
