IT Home January 13 news, according to foreign media techspot reports, a 19-year-old overseas hacker David Columbo announced in a Twitter post this week that he can remotely control 25 Tesla electric vehicles from 13 countries without the owner's knowledge.
David Columbo, despite his youth, is already an IT security expert. He said the vulnerability had been reported to the nonprofit Mitre, but did not want to disclose how it had been done.

Columbo says he can get precise positioning of each car, disable safety measures, open and close windows whether the vehicle is moving or not, and play music and YouTube videos at maximum volume. Although he can't control the driving process of these cars, he can unlock the vehicle remotely, go to the location of the vehicle himself, and steal the car.
According to IT House, Tesla's security team said it was investigating at this time. But Columbo said the remote control operation was not exploited by a vulnerability in Tesla's software, but by the owners' own mistakes.
