Part of apple health source code was stolen by the hacking group Lapsus$

IT House reported on April 5 that apple health source code used to develop Globant's "Earn Your Apple Watch" project may have been stolen in a recent Lapsus$ hack.

Lapsus$ previously made this claim through its Telegram channel and provided a torrent link to the data. Screenshots of these files show that the folders are named "Facebook" and "apple-health-app".

It is not yet possible to verify whether these folders contain source code belonging to these companies. Facebook and Apple did not respond to requests for comment.

Apple previously worked with Globant to develop a white-label tool for creating incentive programs around the Apple Watch. Employees will track their health and exercise data and use that data to "earn your Apple Watch, or, once earned, other discounts and rewards.

It's not known what kind of data is contained in the folder labeled "apple-health-app," and Globant didn't respond to comment requests.

Lapsus$ has been stealing data from different companies in recent weeks, including 37GB of Microsoft source code and 190GB of data from Samsung's vulnerability.

The hacking group also allegedly breached the Okta authentication tool to get more accounts and data.

The latest news is that british police have arrested several members of the Lapsus$ hacking group.
