Minqin craftsmen cut out "Suwu shepherd"

The story of Su Wu shepherding sheep is well known in minqin. Minqin cultural artists used scissors to cut out the story of "Su Wu Shepherding Sheep", and reproduced the spirit of Su Wu in the face of coercion and inducement, loyalty, fearlessness of power, and loyalty and indomitability in the face of coercion and inducement.

Suwu Mountain in Minqin County is the only regional name in the country named after Suwu. Mr. Ren Jizhou, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and an authoritative expert in grassland ecology in China, has found that the Beihai, the hometown of Suwu sheep, is in Minqin County. At the same time, after experts and scholars examined the stone stele preserved by the Minqin County Museum, they also believed that the historical Minqin Baiting Sea should be the hometown of the Han Dynasty Zhonglang General Su Wu Beihai Sheep Herding.

In response to the story of "Suwu Shepherd", Liu Ping and Wei Jinguang of Minqin County created a paper-cut "Suwu Shepherd", which has attracted widespread attention from all walks of life. Liu Ping is a cadre of the Minqin County Cultural Center, a representative inheritor of Wei Jinguang's municipal paper-cutting, a backbone of Longyuan's skillful hands, a member of the Chinese Folk Writers Association, and a member of the Paper-cutting Art Committee of the Chinese Culture Promotion Association. The paper-cut "Su Wu Shepherd" has a total of 31 scenes and plots, which integrate historical and cultural connotations on the basis of tradition, with a distinct style, thick and vivid, and vividly reproduce Su Wu, a historical figure who is tenacious and high-spirited.
