Lu Fang ( Chinese : 麋芳; pinyin: Yǎ fǎ fīc), is a native of Donghai County. His family has been in business for generations, and there are more than 10,000 slaves in the family, so the property is extremely rich. Initially, Lu Fang and his brother Lu Zhu followed Xuzhou Mu Tao Qian. After Tao Qian's death, Lu Fang followed Liu Bei with her brother. At that time, the warlords were fighting, and no one knew who could really dominate, so the Lufang brothers pressed the treasure on Liu Bei. In order to gain Liu Bei's favor, the Lufang brothers not only supported liu bei financially, but also gave their sister Xu to Liu Bei. As a result, Lu Fang transformed into Liu Bei's brother-in-law.
To say that Lu fang is really good to Liu Bei, in the early days of Liu Bei's entrepreneurship, he often lost his foothold due to military defeat, but the Elk Fang brothers always did not abandon Liu Bei. After Liu Bei was defeated by Lü Bu at Xia Pi, Lu Fang followed Liu Bei and fled to Haixi. After Liu Bei was defeated by Lü Bu, Liu Bei fled with Liu Bei to Cao Cao. Later, Cao Cao recommended Lu Fang to be Peng Chengxiang, and Lu Fang chose to resign and follow Liu Bei.
And it is precisely because of this loyalty of Lu Fang that Liu Bei attaches great importance to him. But Elk Fang made Liu Bei miserable! Lu Fang was loyal to Liu Bei, but not so friendly to the rest of Shu Han. When Cao Cao led a large army south to attack Jingzhou, Liu Bei began to evacuate with his men. During the retreat, Zhao Yun was separated from Liu Bei and others because he saved Liu Bei's wife and son Ah Dou. At this time, Lu Fang began to alienate Liu Bei's feelings with Zhao Yun, saying that Zhao Yun must have surrendered to Cao Cao. Fortunately, Liu Bei believed Zhao Yun and said firmly, "I believe that Zilong is not that kind of person!" Later, Zhao Yun rescued Ah Dou and cleared his suspicions.
Later, Guan Yuzhen guarded Jingzhou, and Liu Bei made Lufang the Taishou Tun Jiangling of Nan Commandery , and ordered the general Fu Shirentun to be a public security officer. The two had always felt that Guan Yu was slighting him. Later, when Guan Yu went north to Xiangfan, they were asked to provide military funds, and the two did not complete the task. Because Guan Yu said harsh words and came back to collect them, when Wu attacked Lü Meng to take Jingzhou, they surrendered Kaicheng. It was precisely because of their actions that Guan Yu was defeated and killed. And Zhang Fei was also killed by his subordinates because he wanted to avenge Guan Yu.
It can be said that Guan Yu and Zhang Fei were both killed directly or indirectly by Lu Fang. Although Lu Fang surrendered to the State of Wu, his life there was not satisfactory, because the officials and people of the State of Wu despised his surrender.
