Henan's COVID-19 pandemic faces the double test of Delta and Aumicron.
According to Caixin news, as of 12:00 today (11th), Henan has reported a total of 456 positive cases of this round of epidemic. The epidemic has spread in Zhengzhou, Anyang, Xuchang and other places, becoming a new center of the new crown epidemic in China after Shaanxi.

Anyang and Tianjin are in the same chain of transmission
Anyang is the seventh prefecture-level city in Henan to report an outbreak.
From 0:00 on January 10 to 8:00 on January 11, there were 58 new locally confirmed cases in Anyang City. Since the first confirmed case was reported on January 8, Anyang City has seen new cases in recent days, and a total of 84 locally confirmed cases have been reported.

On January 8, Anyang City found two cases of positive nucleic acid of the new coronavirus in the active testing population.
The next day, through the whole genome sequencing of the virus in the laboratory of the Henan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, it was shown that the two indigenous cases infected with the virus were all BA.1 branches of the Aomi Kerong variant. After analysis and comparison, the existing local epidemic situation in Anyang and Jinnan District of Tianjin Belongs to the same transmission chain.
Combined with the results of epidemiological investigation and gene sequencing, the source of infection of the epidemic in Anyang City was a college student who returned to Tangyin County of Anyang City from Jinnan District of Tianjin City on December 28, 2021.
The college student previously said in an interview with the media that he had taken a bus and ate in Tianjin's Jinnan District, and had exposed his nose when wearing a mask. When he returned to Anyang on December 28, he took the bus with a 48-hour nucleic acid negative certificate.
Zhang Ying, deputy director of the Tianjin Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said publicly: The source of the current round of the epidemic in Tianjin is very unclear, and the case has been spread for at least three generations, and may have been spreading in the community for a period of time. As of 12:00 today, a total of 97 cases of positive infection have been reported in Tianjin in this round of the epidemic.
As the same chain of transmission, Anyang city has repeatedly tightened epidemic prevention measures.
On January 8, Anyang City required all personnel in the city not to leave the city non-essential from 14:30 on the same day, all outgoing passages set up cards, and the ticketing of railway and long-distance bus passengers was temporarily suspended; since January 9, primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in Anyang City have stopped attending schools; since the 10th, Anyang Station and Anyang East Station have suspended the sale of tickets for stations in Beijing.
On the evening of the 10th, Anyang City also issued a notice saying that in order to prevent the spread of the epidemic of the Aomi Kerong virus, all residents in the city, especially In Tangyin County and urban areas of the city, are required to stay at home except for cooperation with nucleic acid testing and other epidemic prevention and control work, and all motor vehicles in the city are not allowed to drive on the road in principle.
Anyang City requires that the city's production and business units suspend operations; all supermarkets in the city suspend other business activities in addition to ensuring the supply of daily necessities; and all stores and takeaway business units suspend business.
Starting from today (11th), in addition to the two high-risk areas of Yucai School in Baiying Town, Tangyin County and Dazhuzhuang Village in Guxian Town, Tangyin County, the risk level of epidemic prevention and control in other areas of Tangyin County in Anyang City has been upgraded to medium-risk areas.

At 0-24:00 on January 10, there were 87 new confirmed cases in Henan, including 74 in Xuchang City and 11 cases in Zhengzhou City. Xuchang and Zhengzhou are still the two cities with the highest number of new cases in the province.
Previously, the press conference on epidemic prevention and control in Henan Province held (January 9) said that after genetic sequencing analysis and comparison, the epidemic situation in Xuchang Yuzhou City was homologous to Zhengzhou City, and the virus gene sequencing was Delta strain. However, at present, the source of the virus is not clear, and the situation of prevention and control is grim and complicated. There are also clusters of outbreaks in Zhengzhou and Xuchang Yuzhou.

In addition, the epidemic situation in Zhengzhou and Xuchang Yuzhou spilled out to many places. Cases reported in Gushi County and Shangqiu City of Xinyang City are all related to cases in Zhengzhou, and cases associated with Yuzhou have also been found in Zhoukou City, Henan Province, and Yongkang City, Jinhua, Zhejiang Province.
On January 11, Zhengzhou City held a press conference for the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. According to the press conference, as of 24:00 on January 10, Zhengzhou city has reported a total of 103 locally confirmed cases, all of which are ordinary or mild.
The press conference also stressed that in addition to the normal business of supermarkets, convenience stores, bakeries, farmers' markets, medical institutions, banks, and office halls that are closely related to residents' lives, restaurants in the city are not allowed to dine in, and other non-necessary places are temporarily closed.

The Xuchang Municipal Epidemic Prevention and Control Office issued the Notice on Further Strengthening the Prevention and Control of the Epidemic on January 6, and all personnel in Xuchang City are advised to return unless they do not leave the city. On January 7, Xuchang City announced the implementation of strict global control:
Suspension of buses, taxis, ride-hailing and passenger lines;
Shopping malls, supermarkets and stores along the street suspend all business activities except "to ensure the supply of daily necessities";

The good news is that Lanzhou University's COVID-19 Global Forecasting System has released preliminary forecasts for the outbreak in Zhengzhou and Xuchang, Henan: the current round of outbreaks in Zhengzhou and Xuchang is expected to be under control around January 20, 2022.
